I know this can be a pretty cynical place. But I thought this was cool. Wish the guy the best of luck.

I want to say thank you to the #chiefs organization, the great fans of the #chiefs kingdom, and the city of KC for five wonderful years!

The people in KC made it truly a great place to play football, be apart of a warm community, and memorable birthplace for my three children

Thanks for nothing but having to watch you get your ass kicked for two years.

Hopefully, they put you at guard in Detroit.

PS lock your doors, playa.

I've never understood the hate for a player....hate the coaches and the team that hire him and keep him if you don't like his abilities.

Agreed. If a player gives good effort he's one of ours. The only Chiefs I'll truly dislike are the ones that aren't team players or who damage the team by getting suspended or some such thing.

I always hated players who say "some such thing".

I have always liked the public image that Niswanger presented, and would have been happy to keep him as depth at guard.

He was simply not a center.

Some of you people are really, really stupid.

Good luck to Niswanger.

Seemingly a good dude, but a bad linemen.

Wow if only McBride and Leggett would have stayed in Detroit I'd say we'd be in great shape Week 2.

I think he'll end up coaching in some capacity one of these days. He was a very smart player and a useful component that was simply used poorly, IMO.

As a backup swing guard and occasional spot center, he could be a very nice reserve interior lineman. But to try to make that particular square peg a starting center was just not a good idea.

He could have another 5 years in this league as a backup interior lineman and make a nice career for himself. I wish him well.
