Except for Christina Applegate I hated that show. If Al had a shred of decency he would have taken a 2nd mortgage out, pocketed the money and got lost in Costa Rica never to be seen again.

Aren't these all available on Netflix? I loved the show and enjoy watching the old episodes, but I've learned that whenever I buy a series I generally only end up watching a handful of episodes and then just sort of forget about it.

And personally, I thought Peg was hotter than Kelly. If I was Al every day would have been like Labor Day. :D

Woah, that seems like textbook 'overplaying your hand'.

I remember always being confused by the show as a kid. "Why wouldn't Al sleep with her? She's kinda hot..."

And yeah, looking back, she was good looking.

But c'mon - hotter than Kelly? Kelly was nails.

I prefer brunettes and redheads over blondes. Blame my ex-wife.

Jefferson Darcy is, always has been and always will be one of, if not my favorite all time sticom characters. He is, as far as I know, the only stay at home husband in the History of American Sitcom. Stay At Home as in Never Has A Job. Marcy made him get one a couple of times but then made him quit when she saw him flirting with some hot younger thing on the clock.

Marcy "Why should you get to cruise through life without ever having to work?"

Jefferson "Because babe, I'm good lookin'"

They all defy gravity when they're in their teens.

I'd totally slam Peg. This show was awesome and still is. Grew up with it. However i preferred the earlier seasons before Marcy remarried. After that, IIRC, the Dog started talking and they started writing shit in the script that didn't make sense.

The early seasons they just ripped each other back and forth and it was fucking hilarious.

I agree with your premise 100% but Peg was a redhead. She reminds me of aunts on my Dad's side which doesn't help either.

Compared to Kelly? You'll get no argument from me if we had to choose.

Well...one slight problem. Marcy's a lesbo.
Amanda (the actress) outed herself in 2003.
She's looking more like Marcy in Charlie Brown now...

I remember Bearse looking sexy once - when she was a pre-vampire in the original Fright Night.

Other than that, not so much. The chicken thing always sticks in my mind. :D

I used to agree with you until I got ahold of all the seasons and watched them in order. I am now of the opinion that the late Steve era (S3-4) and the late Jefferson era (s8-11) were the best seasons. They had a few years when they first brought Jefferson on where their chemistry was a little off and the writing wasn't as good. Season 7 is IMO by far the worst. You thought the talking dog was bad, how about the blonde kid "Seven" that was on for 20 some episodes. Horrible.

They axed the brat and Jefferson's Stay At Home Husband routine just got funnier and funnier. Season 11 was very subpar, but I thought 8-10 were pure gold. They had a lot of Show Store episodes (which always seemed very funny) Bud trying to get laid was as good as it ever was and the Griff character helped a lot by bringing in the minority element.

just my take, all very good seasons sans for 7. Oh, and Marcy outed herself in '93, not 2003, as if the haircut at that point didnt give it away.
