The hussel by Powe was great, but I'd much rather see him maintain his gap and not get pushed all the way to the hash marker.

If that were Tyson Jackson all people would be talking about is how he got his shit pushed in.

I'd much rather he sack the QB on every play of his career....but that also has nothing to do with the hustle he displayed on that play...

I already said it was great hustle, but had he maintained his assignment then that run may not have even happened or not have gone for nearly as big of a gain.

It was great hustle, but arguably his worst play of the night.

I count 3 people who blocked him...

Yeah, but not all at the same time.

a triple team means that 3 guys are blocking him at once, and that was not the case at all.

Watch it VERY closely.

He is driven out of the play by TWO guys, the Back comes in and when he does, the other linemen rotates off of Powe. At no point was Powe "Triple teamed".

Watch the back and see at what point he actually enters the play and hits Powe. He was doubled by two linemen and then again by a lineman and a back. Not all 3 at once.

The funny thing is we've got Dorsey, Gregg, Gilberry, and (hopefully) Bailey. Powe and Jackson are also good (for now). After that there's a HUUUUUUGE dropoff in talent.

Well, it was Powe and a bunch of dipshits. Against the Tampa 2nd team offensive line.

Maybe not considering the DE completely blew it as well, but I doubt Wilfork gets pushed out of the play like Powe did. I don't expect Powe to be Wilfork either.

This, if Powe did that and our starting players were on the field, they'd wreck shit. Imagine what Hali could do with our Dlinemen being doubled.

Our linemen do get doubled, typically it's the NT or Dorsey on nearly every play. Hence the reason people are so high on Dorsey.

Lets not act like Edwards never got doubled.

The key word is 'commands'

Ron Edwards didn't command anything ... offense could double him or not depending on the situation. If a Nose tackle blows up a play the minute you don't double him then it changes the entire blocking scheme for every play.

No, not at all.

I am saying that just because you got doubled doesn't mean that you've done your job. If that were the case we could stick anyone in there to get doubled.

Though I don't expect the NT to hold the POA forever, he shouldn't immediately get pushed out of the play either.

If that were the case, what's the freaking point?

I agree, but the good ones command a double and still maintain their assignment fairly well. That's what makes them good.

I'd like to know why Greenwood just completely ****ing quit when he's a yard back from Johnson.

The slow-mo really makes Greenwood look horrible. He chases after him and when Johnson cuts he just says "oops, oh well" and keeps running straight past him.

4 tackles 1 for a loss and 1 tackle was a T.D. saving play 25-30 yards downfield was a pretty good showing for a rookie NT in his first NFL game experience.
