Any of you techno guys have Kindels? What should I look for in the way of specs? Are they worth the money? any alternatives? Inquiring minds want to know.

Buy books instead of the Kindle. Stop killing the one 'old' industry that deserves to survive the technological era.

Kindle 1 (forget it)
Kindle 2 (addition browsing stuff that is worth it)
Kindle 3 (E-ink Pearl display)

Kindle 2 Dx (larger screen size)
Kinkdle 3 Dx (E-ink Pearl display)

go Kindle 2 for browser stuff and Kindle 2 Dx if you like the larger screen.

kindle 3 if you have money to burn

Thanks for the links, never thought to use search. Nearest library is 34 miles away and you have to return books. Looks like I will be digesting info till gametime.

Don't forget book stores.

You can often find places where you can buy used books and then sell or exchange the books right back to the same store. I know somebody that buys used books for $2.00 and then gets $1.00 credit. They just constantly rotate books for basically a dollar.

E-books for Kindle are not that cheap unless you get old ones or pirate.
