I know this is old from last year, but with EA's exclusive contract expiring with the NFL and John Madden retired and hasnt signed for the series to continue, I believe that we could end up seeing NFL 2K again.

2K Sports Has Already Approached NFL About 2K13 Licensing Deal
Tuesday, 05 October 2010 09:15 Jonathan Lynch

It looks like everything we had been hearing over the last year and half has turned out to be true as word is now coming out that Take-Two Interactive, the parent company of 2K Sports, has approached the NFL about a licensing deal for the 2013 NFL season. It was rumored last month that the NFLPA, the official association representing players of the National Football League, were already in preliminary talks.

While nothing solid has been worked out, all the pieces are falling into place. Take-Two has sold of several major assets - including their mega-distributor JOAG in Cincinnati, Ohio in order to raise capital. We'll keep you updated as the details emerge.

Yea, hopefully there will be a new NFL game instead of EA's new additons to the same game every year.

Game play that is what its all about, when I played Madden 05 I kicked ass, when I played NFL 2K5 it was hard to kick ass, it was a much much tougher game.

Im sure they will, they got PC versions for the other 2 games.

Well, they have to get into the runnings again. I cant get any info about a new game. Mums the word big time on it, but when it does come, ill get inside info then, but until there is a deal, NOTHING!

I loved 2K5(APF sucked ass though) but I just hope this deal doesn't make their games garbage like their unplayable POS MLB 2k series

About time, Madden needs to go the way of the dinosaurs and 2K will give us a PC version for sure.

I hope this works out for 2K, right now EA holds the rights through 2013. We need some competition. Madden can take it easy instead of pushing the limits right now.

I loved 2K5 and I hope 2K can make it back into the NFL realm.

IF 2k is able to get the license, then i am about 95 percent sure they will put a PC version out. They do with MLB2K and NBA2K.

2K will GO ALL out to gain some of them EA fans like they are doing with NBA right now. ALOT of the core NFL2K dev's are STILL with 2K to my knowledge.

Fuck the exclusive contract shit. How about some competition so there is actually a reason to try and improve the game?

Hehe, it would be a big task to get that done in the first year unless they are working on something as we speak, but if they know they are getting back in9ot the game, im sure they got a dev team working on something.

It will be interesting.

I don't think it would be that hard to implement. Skip the bullshit like press conferences and an NFL 2K13 Insider gabbing in your ear.

Take the base game, have the player locked into controlling one player, slap a skill points system on top of it and call it a day.

No need for shit like custom shoes, haircuts, all that garbage. You're wearing a fucking helmet anyway.

Do you ever go to operationsports and read the complaints people have with playing sports video game barbie? some of them dudes get CRAZY on that shit. I am a moderator at 2k Sports and fuck, when 2k10 came out and KObe was on the cover and the game showed him with a arm sleeve, people bitched and moaned that the SIZE was not correct. Kobe didnt even WEAR the sleeve that year. lol

Hard core sports game nuts are INSANE with accessories, they take that shit as serious buisness, thats why you see sports games now signing contracts with every damned apparel company out there.

I totally agree with you by the way.

Ok, so I was wrong. I've contacted gamestores and they all were under the impression that this was the last year of the contract and possibly the last madden ever .... something about every year a updated roster would be released and you would be able to download it for like 30 dollars. My bad.
