Nah, he's not arrogant...

VINEYARD HAVEN, Massachusetts (AP) President Barack Obama says his low approval rating is a reflection of public unhappiness with Congress.

Obama tells CBS in an interview broadcast Sunday that he's "impacted," just like Congress, when people aren't happy with Washington.

He says he understands that his arguments that the country would have been worse off if he hadn't taken certain actions don't resonate with the millions of unemployed people.

The president, who's vacationing on Martha's Vineyard, Massachusetts, says he expects to be judged in November 2012 on whether things have improved.

Recent public opinion polls have shown Obama's job approval rating at near 40 percent, the lowest of his presidency.

Obama taped the CBS' 'Sunday Morning" interview last Wednesday in Illinois at the end of a Midwest bus tour focused on the economy.

Well, he's part right.

America is pissed off at congress.

And has been for quite some time. Even when he was a member.

How much do voters approve of Boner's congress? Let's look at the average of recent polls:

Approve 16%
Disapprove 78%

16%. Not even 2 out of 10 approve of Boner's congress. Seems high, but it could be the Tea Party vote causing a bias away from zero. Warms my heart to see America rejecting the Republi agenda so strongly

Slightly misleading there, Duck. That is Congress as a whole, not just the House. Nice try.

And it's not like it's any different from the approval ratings a couple years ago when both houses were dems.

Exactly look at any trend of Congressional approval rating and they have been on a dive since a peak in 2002. I think 2008 just after TARP it sunk to somthing like 13%.

New York Times/CBS News poll Aug 16 2011

Americans were pretty evenly divided about President Obama's job performance during the negotiations, with 46 percent approving and 47 percent disapproving.

The public's opinion of the Tea Party has gone down following the debt negotiations: 40 percent now disapprove of the movement, while just 20 percent view it favorably.

All told, Republicans came out looking worse than the Democrats during the debt crisis, with 72 percent disapproving of the way Republicans in Congress handled the negotiations, compared to the 66 percent which disapproved of the way Democrats handled them.

Polls show that disapproval of the Tea Party is climbing. In April 2010, a New York Times/CBS News survey found that 18 percent of Americans had an unfavorable opinion of it, 21 percent had a favorable opinion and 46 percent had not heard enough. Now, 14 months later, Tea Party supporters have slipped to 20 percent, while their opponents have more than doubled, to 40 percent.

No kidding! I mean what a shock, a fish wrap that caters to leftwing readers has a poll that favors the democrats  If that worthless leftwing propaganda rag ran a poll asking "Do you think everyone who disagrees with Obama is racist" it would end up 75% voting yes~
