Cool shout out to Boney's here in Denver. It's not KC BBQ, but it'll do in a pinch.

I've been out of the KC area for several years now, so I haven't had any great BBQ since.

There is a Chain of BBQ joints here(Dayton-Cincinnati) called City BBQ. They are very good.

They don't make burnt ends :(

City was started by St. Joe native.

They don't have ends, but give away free brisket pieces which they call "BARK"

Cool. I will have to look into that.

Finding good BBQ here in Atlanta is like finding someone with teeth in Tennessee. Sure, there are a few joints, but they are hard as hell to find.

No, where's that at?

North end. I stopped there on my way back from Florida back in June. Super awful. Don't go.

I have to give a shout out to Daddy Z's. Not KC but best in Atlanta I have found. Close to downtown, on Memorial.

Kansas City BBQ in LA rocks. It's also a cool Chiefs bar - fullfilling my all-time dream of eating good BBQ, watching the Chiefs with a bunch of rabid Chiefs fans, and drinking a Chimay at the same time.

The guy who owns it used to work at Gates. He makes a burnt-end sandwich that's the consistency of pulled pork. It freaks people out because it's not what they're expecting, but is absolutely delicious.

Have not found good BBQ in LA. I've heard it exists, but I am more and more skeptical. One place is actually called Kansas City BBQ. After eating there I wanted to burn it to the ground on general principle.

What did you have? I've had the burnt end sandwich, ribs and brisket. I liked them in that order. Brisket was nothing special but wasn't terrible, which is impressive for LA.

It's been a couple years. I know I had ribs and brisket. It was a friend's birthday and someone had ordered a bunch of different stuff for the table. I would have probably gotten the burnt end sandwich if it was just me so maybe that was my first mistake. I'd be willing to give it another go.

People here in Chicago look at me funny when I ask for burnt ends

They say what's that and then I describe the greatness and they say no not around here but that sounds mighty good

Bob Dole got some in New Boston, TX last Friday evening. Weren't as good as Jack Stack, but not too bad. (And a lot cheaper than driving to KC for a meal.)

Big T's takes credit, not sure why the article claimed cash only, it's always taken credit. That is my normal monday destination. Burnt end special with fries and a soda for $9.

Smokehouse BBQ (Zona Rosa, Gladstone) burnt ends are so under-rated.

Two Brothers is the best we got in DooDah. Ribs are pretty good, baked beans are allright, but beyond that it's Wichita bbq. Yea that's what I said... I guess to be fair, sometimes they are pretty good, but just inconsistent, sometimes it it's dry as a bone!

I like Big T's too. If you get a mixed plate (a sampler platter) you get a ton of food, enough to easily feed two people.

I stopped at Bryant's on Brooklyn last night for carry out. Beef and Turkey combo with fries. Simply amazing stuff. Got to have some at least once a month to keep my mojo workin'.

Elmer's BBQ in Tulsa is outdamnstanding.
I've never tried Oklahoma Joe's, but they have a location opening this fall in Broken Arrow, about 1/2 mile from my house.

Ugh, no. Some coworkers dragged me there. The meat was tolerable, but the sauce is puke. Just say no to BBQ chains that aren't JackStack.
