I'm sure Paulino feels his job is on the line. I think him and Francis would like to stay with the team. They surely look at this team and see that they could be part of a winner.

Probably so. I'd think Paulino has a real shot to be here next year. I'd be shocked if Francis is around if we add any more pitching at all.

After the last game Francis pitched, Ned was talking about how well he did for the team, and I think he said it was his first full year of pitching since his surgery. He was it seemed like, thanking him for his part this year, but there wouldn't be another.

Interesting.

Tigers announcers say they expect Gordon and Frenchy to both win gold gloves this year. They're very complimentary of the Royals in general.

Hawk Harrelson needs to watch some Tigers games and learn how to be an announcer. These guys are very good. Not homerish at all... in fact I'm pretty certain they've shown the Royals more love than the Tigers. Very pleasant to listen to and lacking in retarded sayings.

Abso-fukn lutely no way Luck lives up to the hype. According the CP he is Joe Montana cross bred with Dan Marino.

It's called frustration and anger.

Yes sometimes that causes it. It's really always here bubbling under the surface though imo. Heh.

I don't disagree with wanting Luck. I don't think we have a shot to do anything this year either. I just hope the actual team doesn't just give up like the fans.

I'm more meh about it all than anything though.

Just got back. They made it interesting in the 9th, Valverde looked like he was pitching to not lose and definatley got a good call against Frenchy. Paulino looked like he was just trying to get through the game for the first 3 innings. Even though they didn't win they were playing hard the whole time and really wanted to end the season at home with a winning record. Crowd of almost 30 thousand was fun to see in late september.

Man, I could read on my phone, but it doesn't let me post on it. I was trying to find a way to get ahold of you to unlock it for you, I used to be the 'break-in' guy at a car dealership when I was 18.

Anyways, good try tonight, still an imperssive trip we have been on as of late. Had fun at the games and will miss the K this winter.

BTW. did you guys see the hilarious Tigers fan holding signs and dressed in tiger pattern outfit? I talked to him for a minute, funny guy, everybody he was with.

I appreciate that, they had AAA out there and it took ol boy all of 2 minutes to get in it. Apparently, a blood pressure sleeve and a stick goes a long way.

I was in the section above the tiger pattern suit guy, while good natured, I was slightly hoping Hos would be late on a swing and drill him with a foul ball as I've seen many people plunked with fouls this Summer in that section. Best opposing fans all Summer outside of Minnesota.

The Royals finished the home schedule with 1,724,450 in paid attendance, an average of 21,290.

AL Central champs spoiled the Royals’ chance to finish with a winning record at home for the first time since 2000. Instead, Kansas City heads out for a season-ending six-game road trip with a 40-41 mark at Kauffman Stadium

Butler’s double was his 40th of the season, making Kansas City only the fourth franchise in major league history with four players with that many doubles. The other teams to accomplish the feat were the 2006 Rangers, the ’32 Phillies and the ’29 Tigers
