You guys are thinking of Rob Gronkowski.

Dan Gronkowski was drafted by the Lions and picked up on waivers by the Pats.

He's done little to nothing in the NFL.

As a player with less than 4 years in the league, when he was cut by the Donkeys, he was subject to the waiver process.

The Chiefs were higher in the pecking order to claim him than the Pats, but they passed in him.
