I present the story of the 2007 New York Giants.

Game 1: Yielded 45 points to the Dallas Cowboys, lost

Game 2: Yielded 35 points to the Green Bay Packers, lost

As Tom Coughlin stated, "The fans wanted the players replaced, the fans wanted the coaches replaced..."

Regular Season Record: 10-6

3 playoff wins led to the Super Bowl and a 17-14 win over the 18-0 Patriots.

Winners.

The '07 Giants lost those two games by a combined 32 points.

They scored 35 in their first loss, and 13 in their second.

These Chiefs have lost by a combined 79 points.

The Chiefs have only scored 10 points in both games combined.

The Giants also have a QB that played QB in college too.

And Michael fucking Strahan, Osi, Plax .. an acrobat WR that makes routine catches with his helmet. The chiefs don't have that.

You mean David Tyree, who is out of football, and whose "routine" catch is his one bright shiny moment?

The Giants also lost their shifty "lightning" back that season (due to retirement, not injury, but still).

Tom Coughlin yells a lot. Todd Haley yells a lot.

Their starting TE has four letters in his last name. So does ours.

Eli Manning was a big retarded douchebag. Matt Cassel is a big retarded douchebag.

I think the staff is in the 3rd year of their plan, which is the season for playing back ups and getting the whole roster to play and contribute. It's painful now, but it's needed.

I know you all are set on Luck, I am set on Stanzi, myself. If Luck happens, hey, congrats and I'll be happy with all of you. But I don't see why Stanzi can't become a similar player. He's not a runner like Luck, so if that's your bag, Stanzi probably doesn't look that good to you. This offense is based in pocket passing, not bootlegs, rollouts etc. Tom Brady offense. Take the snap, step back, read and react. I think Stanzi will do fine.

heh, Tyree would outdo any #2 this team has had the last 30, 000 seasons. ouch.

those backs were a huge factor in the Giants that year. They had 3 good ones. Jacobs is fast as hell, runs a 4.5 at 265 lbs.

That is as may well be, but that catch was not "routine".

that catch was ridiculous as was the intent of my post - with exception to the "#2" point.

No one believed in the 2007 Giants at this stage of the game, either. They didn't believe in starting linebacker Kawika Mitchell or underachieving quarterback Eli Manning or their offense that relied primarily on one star receiver with a reputation of being stupid or their line with its young and ascending right guard or its beat-up secondary where not a single player started all 16 games. Yep, no one believed in them, either.

I lived in NYC at the time. It was full meltdown, much worse than Chiefs fans this season. Coughlin would have been canned, no doubt. There was talent on that team, veteran talent and young studs like Jacobs. Antonio Pierce was an animal. Anyway, yes, it was similar. But to be that resilient you need to have a better team than the Chiefs have. Eli actually looked good down the stretch there and that was a big diff for the Giants that year.

Eli Manning was a big retarded douchebag. Matt Cassel is a big retarded douchebag.

This seals it.

All the bad karma Matt Cassel has received through drops, he's due a freak superbowl on the helmet catch.

People need to quit trying to talk themselves into the Chiefs being a good team. Get over it. Look to improve. Suck for Luck.

2007 Cowboys > 2011 Bills

2007 Packers > 2011 Lions

Enough said.

Root to Lose. Suck for Luck.
Whatever you call it. We need a franchise QB.

Chiefs win 3 games this year, max. Colts, Phins and home against Donks, possibly one of the Raider games. Every other game this season will be a train wreck. May even break records for fewest points scored and most allowed.

As everyone knew going into the season, EVERYTHING rides on Cassel.

EVERYTHING

This team could probably turn everything around this week and make a run at the playoffs....but they wont.

They wont because Matt Cassel isnt a good quarterback and for whatever reason, looks worse than ever so far.

Nah, he'd fit right in with most of em. The guy isn't any better than what we have and no I don't want to bring him in for a look or show Baldwin the ropes in the boxing ring.
