I don't know anything about building computers but I think I may give it a try. I bought a new laptop not long ago but I've found I just don't like a laptop as much as I do sitting in front of a desktop.

No brah, I don't care what brand your computer is. I need to know what kind of CPU you have.

Protip: CPU doesn't mean computer, it means Central Processing Unit.

I should say I'm researching it. I'm nowhere near actually putting the plan into action I'm just wondering if it is possible for someone like myself with the help of others like you (who know wtf they're doing) could pull it off.

unless you plan on replacing the stock heatsink there really is no point for you guys to even look into overclocking. stock coolers really are not meant to handle overclocking an you will end up getting to hot. i assume your cases also prolly have limited cooling also.

Lol. Played around with Overclocking this weekend. Failed.

Now the computer won't load. No big deal though. Just need to reset the Bios. I have to use a keyboard with a ps/2 type plug on it, which I didn't have. Taking one from work so hopefully I'll get it going again tonight.

set those multipliers a bit too high maybe?

OCing always works best with small increments.
