I hate watching the Lions. They have three players that I coveted....especially Stafford. The year we go 2-14.... the dang Lions go 0-16.

Stafford, Suh, and Megatron..... three players that I would have done anything necessary to get.

Stafford has missed two wide open passes.

He had the same problems at GA. He will settle in and get back on target.

That was the one concern I had with him coming out of college. He gets amped up early in games and has trouble not overthrowing guys.

Why does a tipped pass negate pass interference?

Because football is a timing game. Tipping a pass throws off the timing of a DB very much. So most times, on a tipped ball, the DB gets to the WR before the ball gets there because the ball was tipped.

Delano
10-10-2011, 08:11 PM
Why does a tipped pass negate pass interference?

I think it's a live ball after a tip. Sometimes when you see a big deflection and the ball goes straight up, a defender will just decleat the intended receiver.

Soooooo.....New Orleans gets leveled by a hurricane, and they go to the SB.

Detroit turns into an even bigger shithole, has a +30% jobless rate, and they are on track to go to a SB soon.

WTF needs to happen to KC for us to succeed?

We just need a little LUCK!

Small linebackers.

True.

More to the point (NFC East), the Eagles and Giants have a long history of strong defenses. The Eagles defense has always blitzed Eli and rattled him and it has been the key to success against us.

When the Giants played the Eagles a couple of weeks ago, Eli had plenty of time to pick apart the Eagles. They really didn't blitz. But, our offensive coordinator, was ready for the Wide 9, exposing the weaknesses the Eagles have at the linebacker position.

The Wide 9 might be fine, but not with the Eagles personnel. I'm glad Reid doesn't get it. The late Jim Johnson's blitz happy scheme was built around his philosophy, bigger and stronger wins in the NFL. Reid signed a bunch of finesse players -- OK, they're fast, but they're getting blown off the line.

I was stunned when Reid named his offensive line coach his defensive coordinator. Teams are scoring a ton of TDs against the Eagles.

Andy Reid is a moron.

Also, did you know that Michael Vick can't read defenses? Safe to say, this is one reason why he hangs on to the ball so long. He's a "see" and react QB.

Another crazy thing -- Why would you sign Nnamdi Aso and play him in zone? Big failure.

Chicago is losing... I was on the phone... :(

Yes. The first five games of Juan Castillo's career as DC have not gone quite as well as hoped. Crazy, right?
