Number 8 is definitely a stretch but I still give props to Ward,he's got a rep for being mean on the field.

Hines Ward is a great blocker for a wide out. He's a tough SOB.
Who's the meanest Chief? Thomas Jones?

My guess would be McClain on the field.

Eric Berry's ACL thinks Wide Recievers are mean.

Wonder what is the criteria for mean? Hines Ward loves to blind-side defenders, but he goes high. Bills recievers are taught to do the same thing only low. To me what the Bills are doing would be defined as mean.

The Chiefs don't have many mean players, but I am impressed with Jon Asamoah's approach to the game.

It is just kinda a dumb list to have. I would think Mean would be some combination Toughness, Dirty play, and hitting hard.

Sneaky warrior alert, who was the special teams ace a couple years ago that sprung dante hall? Also tripped him one time? That dude was kinda a warrier on kick offs and blocking

I'm sorry, not best WRs list, not Toughest list, it's the meanest list, and hines ward is not the 8th most meanest player on or off the field, on his team probably.... LOL.

Not bagging on Ward at all, I like him, good football player, goes out takes the hits and even delivers them when it's his time to do so.

This list could also be titled "Worst cheapshot players". The same names seem to appear on both lists.

The biggest cheap shot I have ever seen was that game where that dude pulled out a gun and shot a bunch of people on the way to the endzone, his own head got in the way of a bullet. The Last Boyscout blue ray!

steve smith could have been higher than 12.....
I loved watching him beat Jenkins ass last week. frigging awesome. I still have no idea WHY he came running at Smith. anyone know if Smith got fined for doing curls with Jenkins facemask? awesome.

i think it's a new rule you get flagged 15 yards for being mean, or saying something unpleasant to the opposing player.

Most of this list doesn't surprise me, but a few do. I haven't seen Richard Seymour doing anything nasty other than wearing a Raiders uniform, and I wouldn't have guessed that Jared Allen would be considered mean. And Jerome Harrison? How can a running back be mean?

Chiefnj2

how is jared allen on that list?

Maybe there is some truth to that old clip of Hali asking Allen what to do when someone holds you and Allen telling/demonstrating a knee to the groin?
