Do you use the $6.99 coupon, or do you go for the stylist that charges $20+?

Started that way, but it has evolved to a 5 on top and 2 on the sides with a gentle blending between the two.

My $20 device has lasted me for over seven years, so that's probably more on the scale of $.30 than $3.

I cut my own, though my wife assists with the neckline.

I normally use the Wahl, but I've been using razors to go bald. They are expensive.

OK. How do you do a self-cut? It has to be a Flobee or something like that.

Na, just a normal shaver. When you're using a 1/4" attachment, it's not hard.

I bought a nice Andis (cheaply) off ebay several years ago when I discovered that for as long as you feed these kids, their hair keeps growing.

If you have long hair, I have no advice, but short hair is easy to cut, both on your kids and on yourself.

One word of caution. In the mirror, things are opposite. Yup.

How do you do you cut your own hair without it looking like shit? Its important to keep the blades well-oiled.

I start from the back of my neck and work my way forward. Usually takes me about 15 minutes. Covering areas repeatedly. Use a mirror. Use 2 so you can see the back of your head, if you need to. I dont.

I'm not sure why this is a hard concept to understand. When you're cutting your hair short with clippers, it's kind of like mowing your lawn. You just keep going over it until you've got it all. You don't need to see it in the back to know that you've got it unless you've got crazy cowlicks or something.

The only thing that's tough is trimming your neck and around your ears, but you can get away without dealing with that if you really don't want to. Most of the time, no one will ever notice. I do have my wife trim that stuff for me, though.

That's the biggest god damn joke of a place I've ever seen.

**** them and their prices. $4-5 more for a towel and a neck rub? And then a tip after they get done raping you in the ass for that? GTFO stupid bitch!!!!....and the one over by my area, the bitches aren't even decently good looking.

The barber shop over in my area used to cost $10 straight up cash....now it's $15 because of the economy and it now costs them more to buy their supplies and run the place etc.

During the warm season, I use a personal shaver and keep it tight, with some assistance.

Right about now, I'm dropping about $35 at a great shop down the street. I'll pay extra for a locally owned place that is conveniently located. Of course the final product is worth it as well, she gives the best looking cut I've ever had.

I was paying 6 bucks to someone to do it for me until it hit me they were using no skill at all to cut my hair. Just put the clippers on a quarter inch and go.

Take a belt, wrap around your head so that it is even on the bottom of each ear while facing the mirror. Turn around so that your facing away from mirror, check the belt line with a hand-held mirror to make sure it is straight.

Take beard clippers and cut up to the belt. Remove belt when done and angle the "corners" by the ears. Depending on your hair you might have to use a 1-2 attachment to taper the bottom so that it doesn't end too abruptly.

By bald I mean like Dr. Phil bald. You don't want any business on the sides so you just shave it all off.

lol in college I used to go forever without cutting my hair. The girl that does my wife's hair does mine and she's the best I have ever had. She takes her time and listens to what you want. She actually cares lol. It's hard finding a barber that will take their time and treat your hair like it's their own.

**** clippers, I go to a really old fashioned Barber shop. Guy does everything with a pair of scissor and the necklines with a legitimate blade. Pony up 20 bucks but it's more then worth it.
