Let's see how they do against each other. This is Luck's biggest challenge on the year.

Hope it's a good game and the running game for Stanford is shut down. I wanna see Luck throwing it around. Running game has carried him all year.

Sorry. I actually like Jones, I just am a little leary of that system. I know Bradford supposedly ended that argument, but he hasn't looked very good throwing it down the field this year.

No, I agree with you. While Luck is the only QB able to walk in and start day 1, Barkley will need less time to learn than Jones. Bradford would have succeeded in any college program, Jones maybe not. System doesnt always make the QB, Bradford is an exception.

Yeah. This is why I would go out and trade up to get Luck. He can come in and not require to sit behind anyone or really learn that much. I like Barkley but I just don't know if he has the arm strength. I've never really seen Barkley drive one down the field.

O.city

Might take trading 2 drafts to move up enough. One team is either going to get Luck or an ass load of picks to fill holes.

Because if i'm the Colts I would be getting 2 pro bowl players in their prime and can still draft a franchise QB but won't have to dump Manning. It'd be worth considering if I was a coach like Jim Caldwell trying to keep my job (assuming he isn't fired after the year).

Jim Caldwell isn't going to be making that decision.

That will be on Bill Polian, alone.

milkman

Oh, and if Polian is trading for established players, he better be trading for players up front in the middle on defense.

Manning has weapons on offense.

This. He could trade the picks draft say, Burfict and Worthy with the first rounders he could get and get another MLB or DT in the 2 or even both.

With the picks they could get from the trade they could set up their defense to go on a run for the 4 years Manning will have left.

Like I said it's a stupid scenario that I came up with to fool myself into thinking theres a chance for Luck. You want an up the middle guy? Find sub Flowers or Carr with Dorsey. We have so many good pro-bowl type players who are entering their prime.

I just don't see them drafting Luck to sit behind Manning. Manning is too full of himself and I don't think he would allow it. He has more say in that franchise than they let on.

Yeah.

The Chiefs will not have any chance for Luck.

I think we have to look at other QBs in this draft and hope we hit the right one.

Lindley is having some accuracy issues this year. I'd take Jones if we had a competent QB he could sit behind for 3 yrs. Jones isnt completely worthless, smart kid..... physical tools are there. Not sure about desire. He is pretty much the same QB he was last year, there has been no growth. Some guys just cant get past their ego's.

But after Luck, its Barkley then Foles.

I think Barkley, in any other draft would be the #1 overall pick, and will likely go #2 overall this year.

But I also think with a good QB coach to tweek Foles throwing mechanics, he could very well end up being a top tier QB.
