No love for Penn State versus tOSU? This game is proving my prediction that I made before the season that, when these two teams meet this year, the coaches would have fewer than 20 games combined coaching experience. I totally called that.

DaKC, are you still salty about the Buckeyes beating up on the Gators in Hoops? Is that why you didn't bold the PSU vs TOSU game? I will be going to this game, it should be a good one. I fear the Buckeyes injuries may haunt them, we are pretty thin already, and we lost our starting ILB Andrew Sweat, Jonathan Hankins (arguably one of the best NT's in the country) and our 4th year starting RT J.B. Shugarts. Hopefully our coaches decide to coach this game, not like last week.

I can't blame him. Game will be boring as both offenses struggle. I get more enjoyment out of watching future studs like Miller, Shazier and Bennett play. Only 2 seniors on D. We are going to be scary good on that side of the ball next year.

Solid argument no doubt, but I'm sure there will be a significant chunk of people arguing that there's no way a team that didn't make their conference title game should play for a title.

With the crap at QB that Alabama runs out there against that LSU defense, that game is worse than a rematch with Oregon.

I like defense, but not when offensive ineptitude is matched up against it.

ArrowheadMagic
11-18-2011, 10:49 PM
I like defense, but not when offensive ineptitude is matched up against it.

That would be the biggest hurdle to a rematch. While both teams have good defenses, the offenses were nowhere to be found. But not sure any other team deserves to face LSU at this point. Like to see OU sneak up, since difficulty of schedule the next 3 weeks favors us, but lost our chance against Tech and OSU losing. Besides, with losing Broyles and Whaley the last 2 weeks, dont know what OU would really provide in a quality opponent in a Championship game.

Can always root for Auburn, Georgia or Arkansas to really mess the BCS up.

Yeah, I don't know why anyone would simply assume both Bama and LSU will go undefeated at this point... what just happened a couple of hours ago is much crazier than #1 losing to #6. And as you know, LSU was #1 in the country when Arkansas beat them in 3 OTs.

But, if Alabama & Arkansas win out... I guess it would come down to this for the SEC Championship game?

The tied team with the highest ranking in the Bowl Championship Series Standings following the last weekend of regular-season games shall be the divisional representative in the SEC Championship Game, unless the second of the tied teams is ranked within five-or-fewer places of the highest ranked tied team. In this case, the head-to-head results of the top two ranked tied teams shall determine the representative in the SEC Championship Game.

This. Arkansas has always played LSU close. Hell I think they have beat them like 3 of the past 4 or maybe 5. Arkansas has an offense that can score points. LSU has a secondary that is probably the best in the nation. It should be a fun matchup.

It's gonna screw Arkansas tho with the way the SEC W. will determine it's champ if there is a 3 way tie.

Yeah. I don't think we'll be in the national title picture. That ship sailed when we didn't take care of business against 'bama early in the year (man, I would love to play them now, though instead of that early season game). It's still a sweet matchup when you have #1 vs. #5 (or higher). Even better when it's a rivalry. Yeah they did. It was 30-13 going into the 4th quarter and 40-20 with 2:30 left in the 4th. 33 minutes TOP to 27 minutes. LSU put up 175 rush yds on Oregon's defense to only 95 on the ground for the Ducks. Four forced TO's compared to 1. That's domination.

HAHAHAHA
Lee Corso just pulled his "mascot head" schtick, started going one way, then said "AW FUCK IT" and grabbed a different head. Everyone lost it, cracking up, but you could tell they were uncomfortable about it. In Fowler's almighty wisdom, he said "You need to watch that mouth, what the hell are you thi--"... then he realized what he was saying. I hate how worried people get about language, but it makes those situations awesome.

Why should they have? They lost by 3pts in OT. They've dominated every other opponent.

Hell, Alabama basically dominated LSU (between the twenties) in that game too, they just came up empty in like seven reasonable chances to score points.

When did the fumble happen? Where was it at?

i would gladly

his most impressive throw was earlier in the drive...takes a snap, looks left for a couple of seconds then turns to the right side of the field...locates a WR on a deep in as the pocket is collapsing, keeps his feet set and fires a 15 yard strike over a lb dropping into zone coverage and in front of cover cb...

more like the type of 'routine' play that has to be made in the nfl..

Why not use timeouts there?

This is brutal clock management by Oregon.

I don't really see the point to add much to the Chiefs from a skill position standpoint. Maybe a RB depending on Charles' recovery. Other than that, we still need help/depth at nose, safety, guard, RT.

This is a draft to get a QB and then go True Fan for the remaining picks.

This.

There are some really good players that will hit the fa market this year too. I

IMO i'd go qb and take BPA to add depth. Say if someone like Hightower was there in the 2nd at ILB i'd take it. With the way injuries happen you can never have to many good players at one spot.

They won't even get a chance to use the other 2 timeouts.

Oh almost forgot...get yet another offensive coordinator to replace Walter Brennon or what ever his name is and we have a shot at respectability.

They ran the time all the way down to 7 seconds without using a timeout. Insanity.

Other than Brunell, that list is a bunch of scrubs who couldn't read a defense and pass worth a damn.

And Brunnell was more a Favre type runner.

Yeah, Young sucked.

So how does RGIII stack up to the Parcells check list or whatever?

Oregon misses the last second FG... USC wins. Oregon is done.

Nope:

He is accurate, never rode the Pats bench, and has a good arm. Too many negatives.

Damn, do big time college programs even consider recruiting decent kickers?

Yeah, Young sucked.

Oversight on my part.

To clarify, I saw Douglas and Vick, and completely missed Young's name.

Bobby Douglas was a terrible QB.

And Vick looked like he improved, but has regressed.
