Throw Orton in there, fuck it.

He can score 3 points.

I envision the Chiefs/Raiders game redux. Palko starts, but if he looks awful they throw Orton to the wolves in the second half. Regardless, we get killed.

Palko should not even be starting in Canada.

Stanzi deserves a half to get some time in. Not really sure it matters at this point.

It will be just like the Raider game in reverse.

That is if Orton even reports to KC.

This, who says he even wants to be in KC? If I were him I'd be pissed.

I'd bet my house that Palko starts the game. I would not bet $5 that he finishes it.

Eh, it could happen. But losing $400k or so per game would be tough to pass up.

This. He's not dumb.

If he's a true competitor, he'll also prove that he should start.

Palko is going to lead us to victory.

He got the butterflies out and shook off the rust and got his feet wet and re-adjusted his scrotum in New England. Now, it's Palko Time!!!

Speaking Wednesday evening, Kyle Orton indicated that he fully intends to report ot the Chiefs after they were awarded him on waivers.

"Just wanted everybody to hear it from me first," Orton said. "I am happy to be a part of the Chiefs. ... I am excited about the last few days and I am looking forward to getting to kno my teammates with the Chiefs." ESPN's John Clayton reported early Wednesday that Orton might not report to K.C. because he wanted to be a Bear. Orton will probably be the Chiefs' starting QB by Week 13.

He's got as good a shot as Palko to get the start.
Honestly...How long could it POSSIBLY take to learn the playbook we've been using this season?

I saw somewhere he passed his physical. Probably wouldn't take a physical if he didn't plan to show.

Unless he is one of those dudes who likes to take physicals.

If the steelers give us 7 turnovers like they did against the ravens into first game then we've got a chance.

There's a good chance we get shut out if Palko starts.

So, bring on Orton.

Teicher supposedly reported that Orton will report to KC and will practice Thursday. I don't even think Orton will be active this week IMO. Either way its $1.55 million instead of the 2.5 million that originally reported per Nick Wright.

I'll volunteer to start for KC this Sunday night.
I'll hand off to the mighty midget on every down the first two series.
He will spin and twirl to the tune of 2 yrds a play... you can boo my ass off the field then in comes Orton.

Orton not at practice for #chiefs. Family issues delayed travel. Couldn't get physical in time.

I dont care if Orton gets the playbook Saturday...he needs to start. I really dont wanna get shut out on Sunday Night. Just have him throw it up to Bowe & Baldwin down field all game, they will come down with a few.

How damn hard can it be to start Orton come Sunday night.

The Chiefs have 3 offensive plays..

WTF does he need to get down.. Throw to the RED Team!!!

He can read the entire play book on the ride to the stadium for gods sake so could my sons.

Red is good..and push him out onto the damn field.

You probably can't throw Orton in there immediately against the Steelers. You risk getting him hurt.

Best to let Palko run around and get pounded.

This. Then Chiefs fans will get to argue how the game was not an indicator of the direction of the team because of the QB situation...

He won't play this week at all. He may play the next week after that but it really doesn't matter. We probably aren't winning any games the rest of the year with either QB and Orton won't be the starter next year.

The upcoming schedule isn't as bad as it once looked. We get Denver and Oakland, who are both beatable. Chicago isn't the team they once were. New York isn't as tough as we thought.

We're not making the playoffs. But I really want to see Orton do well, only to prove to Pioli once and for all that the QB was the problem.

Give Stanzi the chance! What do we have to lose? The season is over and the kid might have what it takes. We won't know this until we GIVE HIM A CHANCE!

Stanzi is not going to play, you may as well forget about him this year

We will be underdogs to every team we play this year and rightfully so. Would you really want some scrub like Orton to be our starting QB next year?

Who said anyone wants this guy as a long-term answer?

I think Orton can prove, much like Matt Moore is doing with Miami, that this team was really held back by a bad QB. I don't think Orton is a long-term answer, but I think Haley is. I want Haley to show us what he can do when he's not handcuffed by a QB he doesn't trust.
