It's just amazing how the refs catch a ticky tack hold like the one that just pushed the Lions out of FG range, yet miss take downs right in front of them every game, more than a couple of times a game.

Dont care who wins, but atleast it will be competitive.

Refs babying Green Bay just like they did like last week. And why not? They're only 10-0, they deserve a little help.

as soon as Det. gets in FG range, phantom holding call on third and short, makes it third and long, can't convert, punt.

Reminds me of MNF when we were on the verge of going up 10-0.

It wasn't a phantom call.

It was, however, ticky tack, as I said earlier, compared to more obvious ones they miss all the damn time.

Never realized phantom and ticky tacky were different, makes sense though. Yes, that one definitely fit the tickay tacky category better.

As did the "chop block" that took another 10 yds away from the offense (it as close to the knee, he didn't hit it - hardly "malicious").

that's now 4 penatalies for 45 yards for the Pack. must be nice.

Should be another roughing the passer. Hitting the QB before he can throw the football. First down.

Although I think the Lions aren't going to get any benefit now because they have been undisciplined over the course of the season.

Yeah, it's definitely better than what they used to be... but I just have the feeling they might be going too far the other way. A little out of control. Schwartz, Gunther, none of them are very disciplined. You can be tough without being dirty, teams like this usually meltdown at some point.

This is what I was thinking too. I hate Gun, but this is more on Schwartz. It's not just Suh. It's the entire defense. They're taught to play dirty--it's the Jeff Fisher way, and even worse when you have to teach it to aggressive people like Suh.

Schwartz should have taken Suh aside and chewed his ear off. And now, because he encourages this behavior, he's going to miss one of his best players for a few games during a key stretch.

They've been like this all year. Schwartz tried to fight another coach after a game, and then their offense got in that huge fight with Chicago. They're always getting in scraps with people. They're a talented team but they kind of "snap" easily. It's something they can't get under control but if they don't it'll end up in a playoff meltdown.

this x 1000

They are the offical poster child of the "Small Market Team that can Compete" the league can point at as it continues to f*ck over KC, Jax, Sea, Tenn, Minn, Ari, Cleveland and Cin. for rest of eternity.

I agree on the second point. But I imagine he has to be careful with his words. If the coach admits Suh was wrong, all the more reason to up his suspension.

I was watching the game live, and it was one of the stupidest incidents I've seen in years. And I just don't get it, because Suh himself is one of the nicer, softer-spoken guys you'll ever see, but it's like he takes a Bane injection when the opening gun fires and goes full retard. Just an unforgivable act, and he should be fined and suspended for it.

And I do think the entire team is taking on that thug personality, and I don't think it's a good thing (for them). It's one thing to play that way against the Bears or Vikings. What you saw today is what happens to an undiciplined team when they're playing somebody good.

What I did was remove myself from the situation the best way that I felt in me being held down in the situation that I was in

As I'm getting up, I'm getting pushed so I'm getting myself unbalanced. ... With that a lot of people are going to interpret it as or create their own storylines, ... but I know what I did, and the man upstairs knows what I did.

Yep, complete lie. He wasn't being held down, he wasn't being pushed. He was shoving his forearm into the head of the guy he was laying on top of, and then when one of the other Packer linemen pulled him off the guy (and the Green Bay guy did it in a way that I would characterize as helping Suh get up, rather than pulling him off the pile like trying to separate guys in a fight...) Suh hauled up and kicked the guy on the ground.

Completely uncalled-for and completely retarded.

It looked like a guy who got pissed off because he got blocked successfully. Really, really immature play.

Fine... yes. Suspension....not sure about that. He was ejected and that's appropriate and enough. Should Lee be suspended for his punch? Other than kicking being rather sissy, is it that different than a punch? With the way the officials have chosen to selectively control the league and the outcomes of games, I fear them getting any more indirect power over people. But the move was epically stupid and deserves a fine for sure.

I think there's a huge difference. One was a heated reaction. The first or 2nd punch... that's going to happen. Suh? It was clearly a fit of rage, it continued over time even though there was no fight back, and the kick happened well after he should have had enough time to collect himself. He was attacking a defenseless player who had no ability to defend himself.

That, and there's a pretty clear pattern that this guy is out of control. This is the second consecutive game where he was busted for ripping a QB's helmet off.

This guy is out of control. He's clearly not getting the message.

Point taken...

But if Suh setup the meeting with Mr. Ahole himself, it's not like he was called to the NASCAR trailer or anything - he just stopped by for tea. He does need to be told that another kick will result in a suspension. A) because it's a kick, and kicking (outside of MMA and other martial arts), is just sissy, and B) because he now been officially warned. As for his hard hits, I'm not sure I've seen enough of them, but I'm not one to worry about that too much. I think it's a sign of the times and we're going to see a lot more of this before we see less of it. Defenses have been handcuffed in the modern NFL that it's just getting to the boiling point for them. They can be held on the line, pushed off of in the secondary, and it's all "letting them play" (for the most part); let the D look at a Brady or Manning with anger in their eyes, and laundry's all over the turf. So, right or wrong, we're going to see more of this until somebody speaks up for defenses.

Now, fine his has for kicking like a sissy...

Suh's stuff is way, way beyond "a sign of the times". He's committed some pretty damn dirty plays, probably the worst I've seen since Albert Haynesworth's incident. We're not talking little slaps on the QBs head, we're talking ripping people's helmets off, kicking people on the ground. That kind of stuff. Just dirty plays, have no business being part of the game in any era. The kind of stuff you'd see in The Longest Yard (the one from the 70s).

It's a real shame, because he's a special kind of player when he's not doing stupid shit.

I too hope he calms down, he's better than this.. Let's hope a fine sets him straight and he comes to the Chiefs... We sure could use some sensible fire on both sides of the ball.

But no kicking!!!! If just epically sissy!
