Have you seen the QB's Romeo Crennel has had on his roster as a head coach? It's no wonder they never won very many games. Maybe he would do ok with a decent qb.
Derek Anderson
Ken Dorsey
Charlie Frye
Tyler Palko
Kyle Orton
Ricky Stanzi

Maybe Todd Haley would do well with a decent QB, too.

He was still a shitty fucking coach.

You don't need a franchise QB to win games. It's all the O-line's fault. /Certain CP morons

Matt Cassel is better than any guy he has had under center. Not even close.

He went 10-6 with DA. *

You forgot Brady "Bust" Quinn.

* (yeah, I know Haley went 10-6 with Cassel. However, Romeo did that with the Steelers and Ravens in his division)

It is worth noting that Romeo's 10-6 season in Cleveland took place when they played the NFC West.

Sound familiar?

Oh, yeah, forgot Brady Quinn. He was there as a rookie and perhaps for his second year of suck also.

Whenever Brady Quinn is mentioned, a reference to his girlfriend must be made.

It really isn't close. The career favors Cassel. Even if you take Anderson in his best year, he is comparable to Cassel THIS year. And if you look at Cassels best year, or his second best year, they are well beyond anything that Anderson ever did.

would all those shitty QB's be as shitty if they had better coaching etc?In my opinion it's 90% the prospect and 10% the coaching

Chicken salad out of chicken shit DOES happen occasionally, but very rarely.

you got it.

Cassel has two winning seasons and both came vs NFC West.

True, but Crennel was in a little bit tougher division when he 10-6 with DA. Also, the NFC West in '07 wasn't great but it wasn't as bad as it was last year.

Cassel is also better than Palko, but what the hell does it matter? People say "well you all hated Cassel and now you see how bad Palko is so you should want Cassel back." Enough of comparing him to hacks. Compare him to a real QB and he fails.

This fanbase, like the organization, has no actual desire to win. They are afraid to take a chance on a young QB yet have the balls to suffer through Cassel for 5 years. I don't get it.
