A few facts have come to mind that have motivated me to create this thread thing. Namely ...

Fact 1: Romeo is round.

Fact 2: Round people have difficulty with course correction.

Fact 3: We have no offense.

Fact 4: The franchise is in turmoil.

Given those facts, when do you guys think we'll get our next win? This year? Week one of next year?

Honestly (not counting the pre-season), I can see us losing the next 5 or 6 games.

With Orton or Stanzi starting I'd say the Chiefs are favorites to beat Oakland and Denver in the final 2 weeks.

It depends on if we run the ball more.

I seriously think we'll win one of our last three.

How cool would it be if the Chargers win out, the Patiriots beat the donks, and then we knock the donks out of the payoffs on the last weekend of the regular season by beating them at their place. It would essntially make the entire season tolerable.

i agree.

Crennel wants to impress for the HC gig and it starts this Sunday not sure if Stanzi or Orton will start but both are FAR better than Cassel/Palko.

look out Pack,
sorry no perfect season..

This is how I see it playing out.

1. We lose big time to the Packers this Sunday.
2. We beat the Faiders on Christmas Eve.
3. We beat the Donkeys on New Years Day.

Denver
1. Loss against Patriots Sunday. Tebow can't save them.
2. Win at Buffalo
3. Loss against KC.

San Diego
1. Loss against Baltimore Sunday
2. Loss against Detroit
3. W against Oakland

Oakland
1. Loss against Detroit Sunday
2. Loss against Chiefs
3. Loss against Chargers

The best I have it figured, if all of the AFW losses this weekend (which should happen), then Denver is in the drivers seat with 2 games to go. All they have to do is beat Buffalo, then the division is theirs (assuming both Chargers and Raiders lose Christmas weekend). If that is the case, Denver will have clinched a home game, and rest the starters when we go there.

Denver could win the division at 9-7 with the rest of West at 7-9.

The Chiefs are possibly playing the role of spoiler the last two weeks of the season

Nope. Perhaps my thread was premature.

Or, perhaps it's just another example of advanced thinking in a regressive world.

I believe this has already been debunked.

Next season we play:

Baltimore
Cincy
Atlanta
Carolina
Pittsburgh
New Orleans
Tampa Bay

+ AFC South and AFC east opponent

So we will get a possibly healthy Manning and IND as well as either MIA/BUF. Certainly not a cake schedule at all.

Way to call it, Mr. ReynardMuldrake.

I wish I'd seen this one. Based on the bits and pieces available on the internet deal, it appears we play a little differently with a quarterback who can read defenses and spread the ball around.

Apparently, the defense brought it today. Shut out the Packers in the first half, or something? Not easy.

Yeah, my fact number 3 isn't really a fact. Not any more, anyhow.

We actually got first downs, had some sustained drives, and made a few clutch plays on offense. I'm not used to seeing that (not that I actually "saw" that since I missed the game, but you get the idea).

Prop things to Orton for spreading the ball around today. Based on the few highlights I was able to view, he seemed to demonstrate some pretty good mobility, too. All in all, he was a big step up from Cassel and not even in the same universe as Palkoh-no.

It's amazing what even a journeyman quarterback can do for this team. Helps the defense with some points and TOP and generally lifts spirits all around. Good stuff.
