What does this mean for our playoff "hunt"?
Ofcourse we have to win out and Denver has to lose out.
Oakland has to lose two games and Chargers have to lose one.
Am I missing anything?
Chiefs can def win out... Broncos were exposed today and and Oakland is very beatable.
Broncos I'm worried about because they play the Bills and Bills went down hill.
Oakland loses to our Chiefs, and beat SD. Denver loses to both the Bills and us. SD loses to Detroit.
Broncos: 8-8 Chargers: 8-8 Raiders: 8-8 and Chiefs: 8-8.

Cross network scheduling? interesting

CBS will continue to show the AFC package on Sunday afternoons as it has since 1998, while Fox still has the NFC package that it first acquired in 1994.

"Sunday Night Football" will remain on NBC, which picked it up in 2006. The network will add the annual Thanksgiving prime-time game starting in 2012, exchange one of its current wild- card matchups for a divisional playoff game, and create a Sunday morning pregame show in 2014 on NBC Sports Network (the future name of cable partner Versus).

It also gets three Super Bowls in nine years compared with two in eight seasons under the old deal.

The Thanksgiving night game had been on NFL Network.

"It's one of the most important advertising days of the year," Lazarus said. "We think this will elevate Thanksgiving not only for NBC but for the NFL."

Flexible scheduling will stay in effect to ensure quality late-season matchups on Sunday late afternoons and nights. It will be expanded in 2014 to allow some AFC games to air on Fox and NFC games on CBS, and for NBC to start switching out its prime-time matchups earlier in the season.

Shanks said the "cross-flexing" would allow more of the country to see certain appealing matchups.

The deals include "TV everywhere" rights for the networks to simulcast games online and on tablets -- though not mobile phones, for which Verizon has a separate agreement.

McManus acknowledged the NFL had become "increasingly more valuable."

"To know there's labor peace," he said. "To know the ratings have just been so consistent year after year after year, and ad growth has been so consistent year after year after year."

This division has been so up and down. The Tebows getting divine inspiration against teams going into prevent defense. The Chargers being the Chargers. The Raiders being a rollercoaster and the Chiefs doing whatever the hell they are doing.

The AFC is pretty open. The Chiefs played the Steelers to a near win a few weeks ago with Palko at qb and beat the Pack today. The Chargers absolutely curb stomp the number one seed tonight.

I think the Steelers are the best team but they are beatable.

TO BREAK A TIE WITHIN A DIVISION

If, at the end of the regular season, two or more clubs in the same division finish with identical won-lost-tied percentages, the following steps will be taken until a champion is determined.

Two Clubs
1.Head-to-head (best won-lost-tied percentage in games between the clubs)1-1.
2.Best won-lost-tied percentage in games played within the division.3-3
3.Best won-lost-tied percentage in common games.same if denver beats bills
4.Best won-lost-tied percentage in games played within the conference.tie
5.Strength of victory. Looks like denver would would win the west with ths
6.Strength of schedule.
7.Best combined ranking among conference teams in points scored and points allowed.
8.Best combined ranking among all teams in points scored and points allowed.
9.Best net points in common games.
10.Best net points in all games.
11.Best net touchdowns in all games.

I thought the same thing as Al Michaels: Kansas City vs Green Bay Super Bowl

The Chiefs are the only team that beat the Packers since Dec 19, 2010

Rogers 17/35 235 yds 1 TD --

Source: looked it up lol

We wouldn't be able to get passed the AFC teams to meet Rodgers again.

There's one thing the Ravens and Steelers have that the Packers dont... A defense.

Reality is The Chiefs beat the Packers on both sides of the ball.

Here's a list of teams the Packers beat this season:

AND they're playing for a head coach the players like -- Crennel has a great reputation .... ... I wanted the Giants to hire Crennel as their DC -- But, no, Coughlin had to hire a loser from Buffalo -- the post is in the archives

Honestly I think defensively we could hold our own in the playoffs. Offensively I don't think so.

With a healthy Charles and Mo maybe but you win in the playoffs with stellar qb play. Not game managers.

Different teams bring different match ups.

Who ever wins this division is going to get either the Ravens or the Steelers in the wildcard game.

Depends. Our D is bipolar.

If we end up in the playoffs, whether Ravens or Steelers, it would be a redemption game.
We would love to show the Steelers how Chiefs football ACTUALLY is without any cancers holding us back.
We would love to beat the Ravens after that disgusting playoff game last year...
I love football!
