The Contra Costa Times now considers free agent Michael Bush "unlikely" to be franchise tagged.

It's a reversal from last month when beat writer Steve Corkran put the odds of the tag at "better than even money." Bush wants his own starting job, and GM Reggie McKenzie surely realizes he doesn't have to shell out roughly $8 million to find a reliable backup for Darren McFadden. Feb 16 - 4:33 PM

If he hits the market....I wouldn't mind having him share the backfield with Charles. :thumb:

It seems to fit with Piolis plan with signing players from other AFCW teams...

Michael Bush is 2012's version of Michael Turner. The man is going to be looking to get paid.

I wouldn't wanna pay that kind of $$$ to an out of shape back that will be worn down in 2 years.

Incentive based contract only. No need in risking a huge payout unless we see results.

I guess I'll just state this here so I don't have to shoot down every thread about F/A RB's:

I am 100% against giving big contracts to other team's used running backs.

Drafting one gives you an extra 4+ years of wear and tear at half the price.
