The Steelers are letting Hines Ward walk this year. Ive always been a fan of this guy's talents, especially blocking in the run game and making those clutch possession catches on 3rd downs.

I've always thought Hines Ward was overrated. Don't know why.

Def don't think he should belong in the HOF....but one day I'm sure he will be because he was part of a Steelers organization that went to 3 SB's during his tenure there, and for some reason they look at SB's more than anything on a potential HOF resume. I don't think (IMO) he was even a top 5 WR during the time he played in the league, let alone one of the best 270 players of all time.

yep; and there is a line of better WR's that are waiting to get into the HOF.
off the top of my head.
Tim Brown
Andre Reed
Chris Carter

he was a great player and should retire. He could still help a team but maybe just with his blocking and toughness alone, but I wouldn't sign him and expect him to put up a 1,000 yds or even 500.
