I understand not blowing your wad on free agents just looking to get paid, but it's funny how other teams have no problem seeing a problem area and addressing it in FA. We just sit back and hope something falls into our lap on the cheap.

If they stay with who we have, I'll be spending my Sunday's doing other things. Fuck them and their go through the motions attitude. I'm sick of this team and their cheapskate ways. Where's their fucking pride?

ok, explain to me how the fucking cheating Cowboys can even afford $7mil? Seriously, aren't they OVER the cap right now? Even after releasing Newman, they should only have 4 or 5 mil left. (they have to absorb at LEAST $5 mil of their $10 mil penalty this year)

No, I read two other reports that said they HAVE to burn at least half this year. So they lose at LEAST $5mil... which means they have to restructure or release some players just to sign Carr at all... and that doesn't include leaving room for draft picks. I just can't see how they can afford any big signings.

So let me see if I have this right. We draft a CB from Grand Valley State in the 5th round in 2008. He starts off shaky, but has some potential. We hold onto him and give him a chance to be our starting CB. 4 years later, he has blossomed into one of the better CBs in the NFL and pairs extremely well with the other CB we drafted the same year. We drafted and developed a great player all on our own, which is pretty rare for this organization. Now he's a free agent and is looking to get paid. We decide to let him go in favor of a piece of shit ex-Raider all in the name of saving a few bucks, when we have many bucks to spare currently.

If he's going to be your clear #1, then yes, but in our situation where he was going to be the #2 ( I know, I know, there is only a RCB and a LCB here, but Carr was clearly going against #2 WRs the majority of the time) paying him that much when you've already paid Flowers doesn't make a lot of sense.

Im not saying he is not. I just dont think having 2 #1cbs (and paid like them) in Flowers and Carr is smart financially for the future.

I would have preferred Carr over Flowers myself...

Carr + Routt > Flowers + Routt by a just a little bit

Kinda like we are copying the Royal's, just another Kansas City farm team, draft em get em up to par and playing great then get rid of em, we should be used to this by now in Kansas City.... F***** sucks!

I fucking hate Clark Hunt and Scott Pioli. WE HAVE THE GOD DAMN CAP SPACE and we aren't going to do shit with it, this is the 3rd year in a row we're sitting on it waiting for what? IT's not for a great quarterback, WHAT ARE YOU SAVING UP FOR CLARK? Does he have inside info that the Packers will release Aaron Rodgers next year or something? WHAT THE FUCK. I'm tired of being a fucking Chiefs fan.

It’s been a little over a year since Brandon Carr left the Chiefs to sign with the Cowboys in free agency.

That’s a year on the field, a year of dealing with the scrutiny of being a Cowboy, a year of ingratiating himself within the Dallas community.

Now that he’s spent a sufficient amount of Dallas, how different is it being a Cowboy than a Chief?

“Let’s see, what’s the politically right answer?” Carr said, giving a small laugh. He spoke after Saturday’s “Men Against Abuse” rally at City Hall. “No offense, but Dallas, it’s the Big D. This is it right here.

“I love that because it gives me the opportunity where I have the platform to do anything in the community and this is Phase One for what I have planned for reaching out and giving back to my community. Between Dallas and Kansas City it’s night and day. It’s a bigger city, a bigger market.”

Carr said his offseason was busy with appearances and community outreach, but he would really start focusing on next year in May when the rookies come in and OTAs commence. As for who his new teammates will be, Carr didn’t have much of an opinion.

“I watched a little bit of the combine,” Carr said. “I try to stay abreast of all the guys that are coming out but that’s something that, when they draft a guy, whoever they bring in, it’s fine with me.”

Interestingly enough, Carr, who went to Division II Grand Valley State, wasn’t invited to the combine. His only pre-draft exploits were a Division II All-Star game in Kingsville,Texas.

Gives him the platform? So what if Dallas is bigger than KC, plenty of players with the Chiefs have done plenty of community service work there. They don't wait to go to other cities before they reach out. Sounds like he is getting a big head. Cowboys better hope he does better on the field this season than last also.

He never, ever wanted to stay in KC for this reason. And it was fairly obvious. People just can't accept it. There are people who just don't want to live in KC. Personally I think the same thing was true of Kyle Orton. They showed no interest in staying.

I know I enjoyed watching Brandon Carr lead the Cowboys to the playoffs last year. CB is such an important position. Anytime you can drop $50 mil on one, you have to do it.

Having spent many years in DFW I can unequivocally say that DALLAS is a complete wasteland of shallow strip mall worthlessness. ANYONE who honestly thinks Dallas is a better city than KC is either a full on retard or has no soul. If Carr feels this way than fuck him and I sincerely hope he gets fatal testicular torsion.

Winning them most games in the NFL. Granted they were regular seasongames and we we're actually 2nd. I'd take 90's Chiefs in the playoffs with a chance every year over 00's Chiefs (minus the last couple of Vermiel years) up and down with no real hope of touching the SB any day.;)
