I'm giving it a 2 and that includes Routt which could be pushing it. If we don't end up with Winston or Solai I say Piloi has failed miserably and needs to go.

Chiefs have a Brilliant plan, let all the high priced guys go in day 1 and then get a whole bunch of low priced guys and still have cash left over if one of those awesome guys happen to come along....

Brilliant

Looks like we might actually have a chance at signing 3 if not 4, including Routt.

Winston, Tolbert\Hillis and they better go after Solai.

I woul dbe mildly impressed if we managed to sign even 2 of the remaing. Winston should be shackled to a locker the second he steps into the complex and never allowed to leave.

How is it that the Redskins can lose $18 million in cap money and still make more of a run into FA then we do? Winston was cut because he failed his physical for a minor procedure on his ankle and the Texans wanted to get his money off the books. Really Hillis? Routt has been flagged three times already and hasn't even taken the field yet. Is this seriously what we are doing in FA. Tolbert would be a good sign. I agree with Peg. With a crop like that we have to go after Soliai.

Pioli is a freaking liar for saying he was going to bring in competition for Cassel. Unless Stanzi comes through, Cassel will get an extention after this year, just like Pioli.

Hard to say Pioli hasn't failed. We have great talent on O' but no one to direct traffic. So unless we find a QB worth a shit it really really doesn't matter if we get 1 FA or 126.

We'll either get Tolbert, or more likely, Hillis.

One of those two, Routt & some guy like Tucker Carlson... that will be the free agent haul, imo.

"Top FA"....is that like Sasquatch? I 've heard about them, but never seen any. I don't think they're indigenous to this area.

I cant understand the cheapness. There should be some type of punishment in place for being grossly under the salary cap and not even attempting to make a championship run. Its a slap in the face to the fans who desperately want to see the team do well, and who constantly suffer rate increases for tickets, parking, and concessions.

I understand if the players just dont want to play here. Not a lot you can do about that. But so many years of the Chiefs front office sitting on their hands, and not even attempting to bring in the great players hit the market is just unacceptable.

The Chiefs have money, and one of the most epic places to play home games in the NFL in Arrowhead Stadium. You give the fans the SLIGHTEST reason for hope, and you wont hear right for 3 days coming out of there. Its not like KC is the dumpster of the league that doesnt have a prayer of winning its division.

The lack of effort to improve the team significantly, and make a push for a title just kills me. Its like the ownership has the mentality of "If we happen to win a SB, great. But Im not gonna sit and throw money at it."

FA just got started, so Ive got the homer goggles on again and am expecting the Chiefs, with this ridiculous amount of cap space, to bring in some bigtime players that can give us a chance to drag Cassel kicking and screaming to our first playoff win in nearly 20 years.

I just cant imagine myself following another team after this long.

Salary floor was inacted because of Clark and a few other owners not spending money designated for players salaries on players. Wonder where the excess money has gone?

Try the other side of the state line where the "footballers" play. Clark doesn't give two hoots about football outside of the money it generates to fund his real passion: soccer.

I can't remember one.

Following a 2006 season in which they missed the playoffs, Lamar Hunt sold the club in August 2006 to OnGoal, LLC, a six-man ownership group led by Cerner Corporation co-founders Neal Patterson and Cliff Illig, a local group committed to keeping the Wizards in Kansas City.

I figured winston would never happen, no way pioli shells out big money for a right tackle... but the soliai deal should already be done, that spot is paper thin, he could step in immediately & has many good years left.
