The #Vikings have signed TE John Carlson to a five-year, $25 million contract (per @AdamSchefter).

No wonder the meeting ended early. Hahahahaa. They thought they'd get him on the cheap and the agent threw out the pricetag and we threw their asses out the door.

Can we hold off on any "great job Pioli" comments until he actually signs an impactful player?

I'd rather have him anyway.

it's amazing how excited Chiefs fans get about Pioli not spending Clark's money...

...it's like how other team's fans get excited when their owner does spend money...only without the 'spending money' part

For a guy who was out of football last year and has 1500 receiving yards in his three-year career?
Good eye Scotty.

Kid is from MN anyway people. Prob came down here only to see if kc would make him an offer better than going home to play for his hometown team. KC didnt (Will they ever?). If we dont get the NT from Miami or the RT from Texans i think i will just forever ignor the chiefs in FA and just wait til the stupid fing draft to fill every hole. F U Pioli and Hunt. Bring in some G DAMN TALENT!!!! NO EXCUSE!

What is this good eye shit?

Carlson cut his visit short because of the contract that the Vikings offered him. Pioli has nothing to do with this.

Seems to me that Pioli's offer was much less lucrative.
Which is what prompted Carlson to bolt and take the better deal.

Unless you think he left town without any idea about the kind of money the Chiefs were offering?

I have no problem spending good money on a quality FA like Soliai or Winston but who cares about TE John Carlson 5/25. Seems a little too much for what this guy produces.

Spending money for the sake of spending money puts you in a sh*t position like the Faiders, who are cutting all the players cause they is broke-maybe debt free R8er can float them a short term loan!

I don't believe he ever came here. I was reading last night his first stop was the Vikings and they coveted him.
