Chad Henne is almost as bad as Cassel.

The best of relatively shitty options for the Chiefs to add a veteran QB was to re-sign Orton and now that is out the window.

Fat Scott doesn't want any legit competition to his beloved Cassel.

None of the options were any better than Cassel but JFC. Where is the fucking competition Scott?

He's the guy I've been expecting the Chiefs to sign all along.

They'll try to sell it as a move to bring in competition because he's a former first round pick.

Sadly, true fans will probably buy it, when most observer's know he sucks ass.

The other day, my buddy was on a flight from KC to Den with Quinn on it. I'm not even making this up. It could've just been a connecting flight for all I know. But he WAS in KC, at the airport at least.

Don't care about Henne and Quinn is every bit as bad as TT for the first 55 minutes of games.

If Miami signs Flynn (most logical ending spot) Tannhill will probably be on the board when we pick.

And we will take Riley Reiff because we "lost out" on Winston in free agency.

At this point, someone should probably start a poll on if CPers would be ok if we take Tanehill at 11 or better yet...

Tanehill or Reiff

Because Pioli is willing to fuck over the rest of this teams players...along with us fans...to try and prove he wasn't wrong about Cassel and it makes me feel sick.

This team will win 10 games despite Cassel next year and that outs us out of reach.

Back in 2009, a few of us came to the conclusion that this team would eventually get to the position of having so much talent that we wouldn't be in position to draft a QBOTF for a few years after that happens due to draft position.

It's why so many people wanted us to draft Sanchez.

Cassel was supposed to be the "hit the ground running" guy that we traded for and it would fix the offense for a long time (a few of us never bought into that).

Hamas said over and over that we are stuck with Cassel for the whole contract NO MATTER WHAT because of these factors.

That's why I got so emotionally invested into signing Peyton Manning.

It was an opportunity to fill the qb spot with a truly elite guy that could get the team back to a superbowl. The whole reason we talk about this team is to hopefully get to that point one day.

That opportunity was within reach and we wouldn't capitalize on the chance at that "last piece of the puzzle".

At this point, my only hopes are Jake Locker in some unreasonable trade scenario, Tanehill falling to 11 and us actually taking him...or Cassel gettting injured before camp ends and Stanzi getting a legit shot with the teams full support.

Other than that, we are just spinning our wheels.

That's ridiculous. If you think he's starter material, he's got 5-7 good years left. Give me a fucking break with the Weinke comparisons too. Weeden is a superior athlete and passer

This was such a long post I thought you were going to go all FAX and tell us you had to leave forever. I feel the same way right now. It's all due to the Cassel situation. It's not that we have a bad QB on the team that's depressing, it's that we refuse to do ANYTHING to remedy it. We won't spend money to get a good one that's available, we won't try out the one young one we have, and we don't want to draft or make trades to draft ones that have a high probability of being successful. My only hope right now is that we are close enough to having decent starters and good depth that next year we'll make a trade to get a top tier qb.

Pioli should lock him in this offseason, you know, since he had a bad year last year. We don't want to have to overpay next year after he makes it to the pro bowl again in 2012.

“Want” is relative. Example: I’d take him over Cassel but that doesn’t mean I “want” him.
