heard him on Sirius this morning saying he doesn't know why Peyton Manning hasn't visited with the Chiefs because from 1-53 the Chiefs have a better team than the Broncos. So that must mean there is something more like personalities that's causing him not to want to visit.

Maybe Manning doesn't think he can work well with Pioli? Did anyone think of that?

He doesn't have to work with Pioli. Pioli works the contracts, not the day-to-day coaching of the team. That is what Romeo is for.

Maybe he doesnt like Romeo? Maybe he doesnt like KC BBQ? Maybe he doesnt like the color red?

Who cares? Doesnt matter.....you cant force a guy to come play for your team. He probably already had his mind made up of a few teams from the get go.

True but we do not look that great with the wire tapping and other allegations. If Im on my last legs I wouldn't want to go to a potentially dysfunctional organization.

I honestly think he is waiting to see how FA shakes out and that this is going to drag out a lot longer than expected.

Does anyone feel that Denver is just waiting on manning to pull the trigger in FA for other players?

I hope Manning takes his sweet ass time.

I hope that's the case! The less Denver gets done the better.

Wasn't one of Haley's alleged complaints that nothing got decided quickly because Pioli had to go to Dallas and hear from Clark and then get back to Haley?

Maybe, just maybe, he doesn't want to work with Patriot guys, and having a HC and GM from there is going to keep him away.

Manning is a weird dude if that's what's keeping him from visiting here.

Maybe Manning is afraid to meet Lilja face to face after he and Polian threw him under the bus in 2010. Not that Lilja even projects as a KC starter next year, but there could be some bad blood or awkwardness.

I bet we're meeting with Manning secretly. It'll make a bigger media splash, which is good for all sides.

Ita not weird. Peyton wants control. He wants say in personnel and wants license to run the offense his way. Think daboll would be OK with giving away control? Think pioli would be OK giving control to his qb? Remember... A few years ago Brady was livid that the pats gave away deion branch. If pioli micro manages his head coach he's not going to let a qb tell him what to do.

Making Pioli get on his knees & beg for a visit would set a tone
Then again all GMs have to have massive egos

The waiting period gives fans time to realize the warts that come with Manning
This is good for us to explore those second thoughts

Lilja traveled to Indy to attend Peyton's "I'm leaving" press conference. There's zero bad blood.

If he had reservations about Pioli he could sign a 1 year contract like Favre
Getting whatever he wanted by the threat of leaving after the season
