What the **** does that have to do with anything?

Finley is a #1 TE, Boss will be a #2.

It has to do with the fact that, instead of signing free agents that will have an impact on the production of our team, we are bringing in guys not good enough to play for the Raiders. I'm supposed to be excited?

We still don't have a center/guard, right tackle, nose tackle, third pass rusher.

Not even mentioning the QB, because what's the point.

I'm seriously blown away by all of the "nice signing! We need depth!" responses. I guess when you're starving, any crumb will do, but I'm just more frustrated than ever.

Oh good thing we brought him as insurance against Moeaki getting injured. I'm seriously flabbergasted by the positive response this is getting.

But, I guess I'll hold my tongue. If people like it, that's their prerogative. I just had hoped for a lot more, and that includes the TE position.

Moeaki is a really talented player, but no one can produce from the bench. His health was a question coming into the league and he's lived up to the reputation. Bringing in another player with health concerns is not the solution, I believe, to the problem.

The way I see it is with only 4 more catches Boss got an extra 121 yards. That shows a much greater ability to stretch the defense and get down field or run after the catch. Not his fault Raiders didn't utilize him well. He was good in New York.

I'm not going to spend my night digging to prove a point that any regular here already knows.

It's common fucking knowledge.

Average player signs elsewhere, dumb signing. Guy sucks.

Same average player signs here, solid signing.

Yep. I was shocked to hear he got released. The fact is that Hue Jackson never properly utilized the guy, especially in the redzone. I like Jackson's offense but the misuse of Kevin Boss was aggravating.

This is a damn good signing for the Chiefs.

The way I see it is with only 4 more catches Boss got an extra 121 yards. That shows a much greater ability to stretch the defense and get down field or run after the catch. Not his fault Raiders didn't utilize him well. He was good in New York.

And about Finley...he is an overrated product of Rodgers. We all saw him drop those balls against us last season

New Chief Kevin Boss Doesn't Have To Block Tamba Hali Anymore

New Kansas City Chiefs tight end Kevin Boss visited with the Border Patrol on 810 WHB on Wednesday morning and talked about his decision to pick the Chiefs in free agency.

The best part of joining the Chiefs? He doesn't have to block Tamba Hali anymore.

"I'm just glad I don't have to try to block Tamba Hali anymore," Boss said. "He was always a handful for us. He was a guy last year, when I was with Oakland, we always drew a big circle around him and I had to know where he was at all times. He caused a lot of problems for us."

And now other tight ends will have to deal with that problem.

Check out the audio of Boss's 810 WHB appearance. A few highlights are listed below:

Star-divide

His release was "a bit of a surprise". He had a multi-year deal with the Raiders which he signed just last year but the Raiders are making all kinds of cuts due to salary cap problems (and the Chiefs keep pickin' them up).
He went to the Super Bowl with the Giants in his rookie year and wants to get back. That's part of the reason he picked the Chiefs. That's nice to hear.
On the Raiders-Chiefs rivalry, Boss says: "I'm happy to be on the good side." Indeed.
