What's Manning thinking? Better weapons in Tenn and San Fran.

I've hated Manning for years, this just cements it.

In the big picture - good. He wouldn't even come to KC. I hope Clark looks in the mirror and asks himself why Denver was so appealing but KC wasn't.

Well fuck.

The good news is that much like Haley's decision to not hire an O-Coordinator last year - this could very easily be a 'shit or get off the pot' season.

The Chiefs have the best talent of anyone in the AFC West - they also have the worst quarterback. The answer is now simple - you win the division or you quit this bullshit Cassel experiment.

Anything less than an AFC Championship has to end the charade.

Don`t care! If we can even have average QB play, I think we can be a better team than the Broncos with Manning. That being said, we definitly need to draft a disruptive 3-4 end (and hope Allen Bailey continues his progression) or another passrushing OLB.

Two possible good outcomes.

1. It doesn't work and Denver is set back.
2. More important, whether it works or not, hopefully the West being a little tougher forces KC to actually get a real QB one day.

No big deal, look at what we have done so far.

We address the front line .... check
We address back up RB .......check
We address the defense ............check,still need a NT

We will run the crap out of the ball, keep other teams offense off the field.

RC has beaten Manning before, not really concerned. Denver is mortgaging the future for a chance to win now.

Manning is signing his own death warrant. Tamba abuses the donks something awful every time they play.

Every time Hali drops Manning like a bad habit, Elway is gonna have PTSD flashbacks of DT dropping him like a bitch.

Elway has played this whole Tebow thing brilliantly. He has managed to get rid of the biggest fan-favorite to hit the NFL in the last decade, and the fans ended up loving the franchise even more. Had Manning never been available, they’d be stuck with Tebow another season, with the chance that his popularity could divide the franchise.

Seriously, I have little doubt that Pioli wanted to resign Carr but never to a contract worth more than 10M per season. And I know the league is about what have you done for me lately but let`s not forget Stanford Routt after the 2010 season was considered a better CB than Carr, right?

Our secondary will be good enough to stop Manning IMO, now our passrush must be improved even if it`s already decent.

Exactly how?

You do realize that they're going to have to change their ENTIRE offense.....AGAIN. Their RBs are fucking dick. Their offensive line is ok. Demarius Thomas is a talented WR.....but he's not the type of WR that can run the entire route tree. They'll probably sign Dallas Clark....who is broken down.

Add in the fact that they've spent the entire first week of FA waiting on the Manning decision....and they haven't signed jack shit.

Denver won the division w/ ****ing Tebow. Call it a fluke or whatever you want, but in the end, they went to the playoffs as the Chiefs shit the bed against OAK at home.

They sure as hell can win the division w/ Peyton Manning. Denver has a good Oline, and give Manning protection and let him do the rest.

Meanwhile we're going to continue to shit the bed w/ ****ing Cassel, because our GM is a ****ing moron, and thinks Cassel can be the next Brady.

Manning has a lifetime outdoor QB rating of 90 comparing to his indoor rating of 98.

Again, that's with FAR more loaded teams than the one he is going to now.

That team is just bereft of talent. He's not Manning at 29 years old. He's 36 coming off of a potential career ending neck surgery.

If Denver is smart they will make the following moves:

1. Trade Tebow for whatever you can get for him.
2. Trade a 3rd round pick for Jonathan Stewart.
3. Trade a 1st round pick for Mike Wallace.
4. Sign Jeff Saturday.
5. Draft offensive line with every pick you have.

A contract between the two sides is expected to be a formality. So, what about Tebow??? This is nothing but a short term fix for Denver. Manning is one of the best but Manning isn't in his prime anymore. He's 36, coming off serious injuries and if the Broncs let him go they're gonna be looking for another QB in 2-3 years. (That's if Tamba Hali doesn't crack open an already slightly cracked QB in Manning.) ;)

Where the hell have you been?

Elway say a way to get rid of Tebow and he took it. Smart move on his part.

This is pretty much the way I see it.

As far as Manning going to Denver, I'm not too worried. He does make them better, but Tebow was a good fit for that offense. Their pass blocking wasn't particularly good and the only reason they did so well rushing the ball is because of Tebow's playing style. They had an abysmal run game with traditional QB play and I see that continuing now. Moreno flat out sucks and McGahee is old.

At worst, they'll be a threat to win 10-11 games this season. Probably end up duking it out with the Chargers and (hopefully) us at seasons end. At best, Manning goes down with a neck injury in the season opener, after trading Tebow for a 7th rounder... Then they're ****ed.

It'll be fun to watch Manning melt down when his WRs aren't where they're supposed to be.

Peyton is the talent. And we have more talent than you give us credit for.

You're not more talented than the 49ers. Find me anyone outside Broncos fandom that thinks that.

I'm betting right now that Manning will end up with some sort of separate pay from the Broncos. He'll end up getting discounted ownership dollars or a no-work front office "job" or something like that. Right now I'm willing to bet on it.

They will definitely violate the salary cap. History repeats itself.

I'll bet he is under pressure to fix the QB situation there from the guys up top above him(Bowlen). Because those motherf*ckers want to win thats the difference.

Clark = Bill Lumbergh.

"Yeah, Scott, um, about that quarterback position. If you could just go ahead and replace Matt Cassel with somebody better, that'd be really great. Mmmkay?"

Pioli: "Not right now, Clark, I'm kinda busy. In fact, look, I'm gonna have to ask you to just go ahead and come back another time. I've got a meeting with the candy wrapper committee in a couple of minutes."

I thought they didn't have any blackouts this season?

And as much as their owner, Khan, likes Tebow, Gabbert is their guy. Miami doesn't have a ****ing QB and celebrated the Gators winning the BCS title while Tebow played against the Dolphins.

I just think the excitement angle is too big for Jax. I expect Gabbert to be traded. The demographics in north FL are far different from south FL. Tebow would be worth tons to the Jags.

It sucks, but the Chiefs just have to keep going. I think we were primed to win the division, now probably not. I like how we're building the team, Cassel be damned, we'll run the ball, play strong D, and hopefully be right there at the end. Crennel seemed to have Mannings number, and maybe he'll never be what he was, but that's just wishful thinking. I don't know, it might be fun, like when Elway was playing.

Can I just say watching ESPN is making me cringe. So many ex Broncos (players and reporters) on there just beside themselves with glee. It's sickening.

Double bonus
Norv will keep his job while he continues to own Manning

Now we get to watch Hali and Houston break Manning in half.

I decree, it shall happen in Mile High and henceforth be dubbed Brokeneck Mountain.

I am looking forward to that as well.

At least we got Quinn.

When Tebow goes to JAX, we need to make a play for Gabbert; this would be a fantastic consolation prize.

Hit the "OFF" button and don't turn it back on until Week 1.

Denver doesn't deserve to have another franchise QB dumped into their lap.

Their fans are general irritating pricks
Their vice president is the original spoiled bitch athlete who is so ugly he appears to be half horse
Even players that play for Denver turn into complete assholes
stupid mutha fuckers draft Tebow and get rewarded with Manning

fuck them ... fuck everything about the town, team, fans

Karma should destroy them every year that Manning plays for them

Haha last years' off season was a bust with the lockout. I was already depressed enough thinking about what I was going to do with myself come Sundays if the season didn't happen... didn't wanna jump on here and join the meltdown that I'm sure Chiefsplanet had. ;)

hopefully Hali can put a "Leslie O'Neal hit on Jeff George" kind of hit on Manning.
