View Full Version : Chiefs Cassel is poised to have a shitty year

Count Zarth

Let's see, he has to go to Denver and play Peyton Manning. I'm sure he'll do awesome playing from behind against Von Miller and Elvis Dumervil. He'll probably shit his pants multiple times in the first quarter alone.

He also has to go to Pittsburgh. Wow, hope your asshole recovers in time for the next game, Matt.

New Orleans? Drew Brees is going to make Cassel throw 40 passes. At least. This will probably be Cassel's worst game of the year.

The little visit to Tampa Bay? I'm sure the Chiefs will be in this game until the very end. Our defense will keep us in it. This will be one of those infuriating games where the rest of the team plays well but Cassel is just bad enough to lose. Cassel will throw a game-ending pick or just go 4 and out or something.

Those are Cassel's away nightmares. Personally, I'm much more looking forward to the home games.

We have the Ravens coming to town, and I'm sure Cassel can repeat his shitty playoff performance. On paper, we should have a shot to beat the Bengals and Panthers, but Cassel can probably blow these games, too, and then we'll all laugh at how shitty he is compared to Cam Newton and Andy Dalton.

And then Peyton Manning comes to Arrowhead, and he pretty much owns the place already. Yep, that should be another fun game for Cassel. The boos will rain down hard on Manning at the start of the game, and then they'll hit Cassel in the third quarter.

Gonna be a shitty year for 'ol #7.

I'm definitely not in Cassel's corner, but, even I have to point out that he was void of Charles and Moeaki last year.

(Who knows, this may be the year he can pull off the magical 60% Comp Pct. and a whole 6.5 YPA, sigh, but it is only a dream.)

He had them in the 2010 playoff game and we went up 7 early then did next to nothing and the ravens scored 30 unanswered points. This was in cassels good year lol. Cassel doeesnt have that it factor. Its not in his abilities. 2 300 YARD GAMES in 3 years with the Chiefs. One of those was when Denver blew us out and played prevent the whole 2nd half. Its so beyond terrible. Oh and his lone 4th quarter comeback as against the worst team in the league a Curtis Painter lead colts haha

The reality is, with a healthy Charles and a productive Hillis (assuming his head is in the right place) along with some good safety valves (a healthy Moeaki, Boss, and McSuckster), and better protection, Cassel's deficiencies will be effectively masked.

Look on the bright side.

Last year he put 3 and 7 points on the board with Bowe, Breaston and Baldwin running around the field against the Dolphins and Broncos.

He can continue to suck even if the running game is good, particularly against stiffer competition.

With Thomas Jones, Jackie Battle and the McSuckster, the Dolphins didn't have to focus any attention to the running game.

That's a recipe for Cassel suckage.

Charles and Hillis will require attention, and Cassel's suckage will effectively be masked, until he's asked to win games against superior opponents.

This is very true on all counts. You left off one important piece though, playcalling.

The last few years teams dared Cassel to throw it and we still handed the ball off against 8/9 man fronts. The slant was hardly ever called. Nothing that would ever loosen up the defense was hardly ever called. Whether it's complete or not we didn't even chuck a ball downfiled just to send a message.

Part of me thinks a lot, A LOT of that was due to Haley. I hope I am right.

In some defense of Cassel you have to call pass plays against a 8/9 man front. And given our line and our QB they can't be 40 yard bombs but they can be some slants and quick hitters that don't always go sideways. You can't expect anyone to drop back againt a 9 man front and wait on a 20-30 yard route. Not with the lines we have had at least. Weigman in particular didn't help Cassel and neither did Barry. Not saying we aren't fucked with Cassel but hopefully we will just be less fucked.

Manning does not have to prove shit, Cassel does. Big difference. The Colts defense was not all that and the defense Manning was facing was much better in our defense against theirs for Cassel.

Cassel is a turd plain and simple and will always hold this team back as long as he continues to start.

Maybe if Cassel could put up more than a 150 yards in a game he would have more opportunities to throw it in the endzone without his WR dropping it.

Bowe just like any player is going to mess up now and then but at least you know what you get from him 90% of the time versus knowing 100% of the time what you are getting from Cassel and it is pure, raw, unadulterated garbage at the QB position.
