Robertson is not happy with the Broncos shipping out Tim Tebow. So unhappy that he's wishing Peyton Manning bad karma.

Robertson has his own bounty out on the new QB.

Robertson said Denver treated Tebow "shabbily" after all he did for the "nothing team" last season.

"And you just ask yourself, OK, so Peyton Manning was a tremendous MVP quarterback, but he's been injured. If that injury comes back, Denver will find itself without a quarterback. And in my opinion, it would serve them right," he said on the 700 Club.

Robertson has had Tebow's back before. He blasted Saturday Night Live for doing a skit that he felt made fun of Tebow's religious beliefs.

What did he say that was wrong?

"And you just ask yourself, OK, so Peyton Manning was a tremendous MVP quarterback, but he's been injured. If that injury comes back, Denver will find itself without a quarterback. And in my opinion, it would serve them right," he said.

He didn't wish injury on Manning (and he didn't say ANYTHING about karma, Denise. That was editorializing on the part of the columnist).

He said they treated Tebow poorly (and they did) and said last year's Broncos were a nothing team (they were).

He said if Manning were to get injured, they would be without a QB (they would) and it would serve them right (it absolutely would serve them right if they go into the season with Caleb Hanie as the backup, TYLER PALKO beat him).

I think Robertson is a freaking loon in this case.

Take off our Chiefs blinders for a second and look at this decision from a pure football business standpoint. Who do you take between Peyton Manning (even if coming off injury) or Tim Tebow if your the Chiefs?

If you said Tim Tebow your a freaking idiot and then some. Tebow is a great guy that any parent would love to have their daughters marry but lets be honest here, this is football and he isn't going to win you a damn Super Bowl. This is the NFL, the name of the game is winning Championships. Having Tebow on your roster is like having Matt Cassel in the long run. The Chiefs wanted Peyton Manning badly, that should tell you everything right there.

So Robertson is butt hurt that the Broncos are moving a bad QB for a proven NFL winner? Just because the guy they are moving is the second coming of Jesus???

Robertson needs to stick to preaching and leave football decisions to those that know football.

One of my facebook friends is the girlfriend of an old navy buddy that lives in Colorado. She posted a tirade about the Donx dumping Tebow - not a peep about Manning, just rage over them dissing poor Timmy.

These people are insane.

But FWIW, if God decides to smite Manning with the jawbone of an ass, I'm good with that. It would take out him and Elway at the same time.

I like the "nothing team" part. I laughed!

I pretty much agree that the Donks treated him poorly, but I don't think it could be helped either.

Oh well. I never hope for injury so I hope Manning re-aggravates the next working out or brushing his teeth or something.

i never wanna see injuries either but Manning deserves what he gets.
i'm still ticked because he disrespected the Chiefs by showing no intrest when we have a better team than the Broncos.

maybe Clark should have designed a new Chiefs logo with a Horse or Elways face on it.

As do I. I hope Manning goes down this year and never takes the field ever again, and it sets the donks back 10 years.

Wow.

If he goes down it will most likely be due to a knee or a shoulder, it won't be because of his neck. His neck is stronger than ever. Spinal fusion is actually pretty common in the NFL. There have been LB's and FB's who have had that surgery and continued to play at a high level.

Von Dumbass
03-23-2012, 08:53 AM
"Once the fusion occurs, then really that fusion is going to be as strong as anything," said Dr. Eric McCarty, chief of sports medicine at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus.

"You do have to make sure thatit's healed and that the bones are completely fused to each other. But once that occurs, that's not going to break. But once you've had a nerve injury, nerves take a long time to regenerate, if at all, and if you've had a lot of compression on a nerve, you could have some permanent damage. Basically the nerve is the electrical power to the muscle, and sometimes that power gets crimped and it doesn't regenerate all the way. And that's the real issue in terms of recovery."

Former teammate Brandon Stokley played catch with the QB recently and said Manning's arm strength had returned and that "he looks great."

Players have returned to the NFL after fusion surgery, including former Panthers quarterback Chris Weinke, who had fusion surgery before his last season at Florida State. He played nine seasons one in college, eight in the NFL after his fusion surgery, including five seasons for current Broncos coach John Fox during Fox's tenure as coach at Carolina.

Dr. Robert Watkins, the renowned back specialist who performed Manning's surgery, announced Feb. 2 he had cleared Manning to resume his playing career.

In 2010, Dr. Wellington K. Hsu, a surgeon and assistant professor at Northwestern University, published a study of 99 NFL players who had suffered herniated discs. Of those 99 players, 53 had surgeries and 46 opted for nonsurgical treatments. Hsu's study found players who had surgery had higher return-to-play rates and longer careers.

McCarty said there is concern, over time, not about the fusion, but rather the area just above and just below the fusion.

"What you do need to be careful of are the adjacent levels, above and below the fusion," McCarty said. "Because now you have this segment of vertebrae that is stiff with flexible areas above and below so you are at risk of developing some degenerative conditions of the areas above and below the fusion.

"Not necessarily a catastrophic risk, but there is a risk, and that's true of everyone. That can cause some pain and sometimes you have to go in and fuse those levels. But there have been a lot of athletes, football players, who have played with single level fusion and gone off and played successfully."

Why does Robertson need to talk about Tebow anyways? What's the point? Ratings maybe? I just wish people would stop talking about an insignificant player.

And who cares If they treated Tebow poorly or not? He wasn't treated any differently than any other NFL player and it wasn't because of his faith if thats what Robertson was trying to imply? Robertson can stay the heck out of sportstalk radio territory. Senile imbecile.

Pat Robertson is such a pathetic fake christian. And a complete hypocrit. Tebow is being treated like any other mediocre qb when a team can get a great one. Pat seems to think Tebow should get special treatment bc he's an in your face christian. And, while he didn't precisely say it, he's clearly implying that that he wishes harm upon the Broncos for not kissing little Timmy's ass.

Btw, if Manning does get hurt, Elway will still think its money well spent; bc he would still have escaped from 3 or so years trapped by public pressure into trying to develop a guy without an nfl skillset.

Manning, Hunter honored

Updated: June 20, 2010, 9:16 PM ET
Associated Press
INDIANAPOLIS -- Peyton Manning (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/players/profile?playerId=1428) always dreamed of being as good a football player as his dad.

Archie Manning might be more even impressed with how his son has embraced the importance of giving back to his community.

On Sunday, the NFL's four-time MVP winner was honored for his charitable work by earning the Youthlinks Indiana National Pathfinder Award, becoming the first second generation member to win the award.

"It's neat," Peyton Manning said. "You know this morning we were all together down in Jackson, Miss., for something Eli was doing and it's not often we all get to be together like that. But it's really an honor to be here to get this award."

The award is given to individuals who have demonstrated a commitment to helping children, and few have been more active in that pursuit than football's first family.

Manning's parents shared the Pathfinder Award in 2006 but did not attend Sunday's banquet.

The perennial Pro Bowler, however, flew back to Indianapolis, where he serves as the face of the Colts' franchise and has one of the city's most prominent charitable organizations, the PeyBack Foundation to show everyone that what it really means to be like father, like son.

Last year, Manning's annual celebrity bowling tournament raised $335,000 for at-risk children, and he annually hosts local high school football games at Lucas Oil Stadium to open the prep season. Manning also has donated Christmas gifts to underprivileged children in Indiana, Tennessee and Louisiana for more than a decade.

But three years ago, Manning's contributions took on a whole new dimension when a local children's hospital changed its name to Peyton Manning Children's Hospital at St.Vincent's. Manning and his wife, Ashley, run the foundation

"You know no one wants to go to the hospital and go to the doctor, but if we can give them some sense of being comfortable there, helping them, that's what we want to do," Manning said. "You don't know how much it means every time we get a letter from a parent about their visit."

He's also the same guy who originally went along with Jerry Falwell's pronouncement that 9/11 happened because God had removed His holy defense from America to punish us for being nice to gay people, among other things.

I'm curious how many idiots out there actually believe the drivel spewing from his mouth?

He's certifiable.

Isn't this the same jackass that said the Haitian earthquake was some pact with the devil?

Outrageous proclamations are how these people stay in the public eye and keep themselves going. Sharpton, Phelps, etc.
I'm convinced they don't believe most of what they say.

The Broncos sacrificed a virgin to win another Super Bowl.

Take notes, Clark.

She rarely spoke against people. She just said (paraphrase), "He's on the wrong path. Christians who read the Bible know better."

On his Christian Broadcasting Network show yesterday, Rev. Pat Robertson said that the nation of Haiti has been devastated (http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2010/01/14/world/main6096356.shtml) by a large earthquake because its people "made a pact with the devil." (http://www.cbsnews.com/blogs/2010/01/13/crimesider/entry6092717.shtml)

"Something happened a long time ago in Haiti, and people might not want to talk about it," Robertson said. "They were under the heel of the French ... and they got together and swore a pact to the devil. They said, 'We will serve you if you'll get us free from the French.'"

"True story," he continued. "And the devil said, 'OK, it's a deal.' Ever since, they have been cursed by one thing after another."

I assume he is referring to Voodoo? Or maybe that large insect that buzzes around in his brain whispered it to him. I have no idea.

As do I. I hope Manning goes down this year and never takes the field ever again, and it sets the donks back 10 years.

I am not sure how they recovered from the McDaniels set back so quickly, anybody else would still be dealing with it. He made some major blunders, that should have been crippling.

As creepy as it was, I actually did watch the video. Robertson is chomping at the bit to imply some sort of Godly retribution upon the Broncos for daring to abandon Tebow. Ask yourself why that tool is even bringing this up on his program.

Because he loves you...

How do we know they recovered? They backed into the playoffs by a blocked FG and beat a crappy overrated $tealer$ team at home. And promptly got steamrolled by the first decent team they ran into.

Certainly (a healthy) Manning is an upgrade over Tebow, it remains to be seen whether he can instantly transform the offense. And it certainly remains to be seen whether he can remain healthy, or return to pre-injury form in game conditions.

I was getting worried until Pat Robertson chimed in. The guy studied a single book for his entire life and still doesn't get it. He's bound to come down on the wrong side of this.

But wait,I thought there was no chance Manning would ever sign the with Denver in the first place. OMG.

Oh, I am not going to set here and defend the Broncos, but they did put up a W in the playoffs.
I would take that, backing up hill, walking on my hands, singing tra la la, wearing only a loin cloth.

I am finding myself in the awkward position of agreeing with this nutjob.

Me, too. Christians should get special treatment because they worship the true Lord thy God. A pox be upon those who treat Christians like regular people. Leviticus 11:20-23

I like the "nothing team" part. I laughed!

I pretty much agree that the Donks treated him poorly, but I don't think it could be helped either.

Oh well. I never hope for injury so I hope Manning re-aggravates the next working out or brushing his teeth or something.

I agree from a football fan standpoint.
Get the wind knocked out of them yes but not an injury.
The fact we take the "higher" ground than the holy roller says a lot about him.

1) Pat Robertson is a loon.

2) Pat Robertson doesn't know what karma means.

3) Pat Robertson preaches hate as a doctrine of Christianity.

This. And he's actually calmed down over the years.
