If you put any stock in history AT ALL, we're looking at no better than a third-place finish this season.

And yes, Tim Tebow WAS better than Matt Cassel last season.

Wanna bet?

Hell, do you have anything to bet after losing every bet you've ever made?

well, sure. But who were the Right TAckles on those teams? They probably weren't surrounded by enough weapons.

He started 9 games without his best weapons. I dont think you can put that on him

Interesting analysis, and possibly prophetic.

Who were the other QBs in 2002?

Weird seeing Brees's name on anything titled 'worst qb'

Wow. You're right. I'm not sure about Griese, but 2002 was a rare good year for QBs in the AFC West.

Like a guy crawling through the desert, my eyes are drawn to the magical stretch in 2010 when Matt Cassel looked good. In the lack of other hope, I harbor a spark of hope deep within my heart that that Matt Cassel will show up in 2012. It's a small spark, but it's all I have.

Yep, but early in his career he was not that good. I considered giving it to Griese but he had a much higher completion percentage and higher YPA.

Carson Palmers gonna be 2012 worst QB. Cassel will once again look like 2010 with Charles and Hillis . Yes we need a Franchise QB but we will compete for the AFCW title this year . Crennel will make everyone wish we'd never hired Haley and our Defense is gonna rock and roll.

Even Carson Palmer is better than 2010 Cassel.

Sure would, but this is the Chiefs we're talking about here. And THAT doesn't happen in KC. Ever.

Manning hasn't shown he can last a season yet. Rivers and Palmer have been far from elite QBs the last few years. Cassel blows but has a good team around him. I'm not throwing in the towel yet.

Out of curiosity, what was your criteria for being the "worst"?

I just looked at who started the most games that year for each team, and picked logically.

Are you shitting me?

Rivers is the definition of an elite QB.

Every year he's been in the lineup the Chargers finish in the top 5 in scoring offense.

If we had a QB like that we'd all be fellating him nonstop.

Fair enough. Just didn't know if you were going off of some specific stat.

Some would.

Some of us also know that it takes more than a decent arm to win it all...
