The last Memphis Tiger selected by the Kansas City Chiefs in the first round of the NFL Draft was Jerome Woods, a Pro Bowl selection and a starter for most of his nine-year career.

Well, Poe does have the speed to be a backup defensive back. So maybe he can also be a pro-bowler someday.

So you're a Memphis fan was the guy even any good? Here is the thing: Over the past three seasons, Memphis has been one of the most appallingly terrible football teams in FBS (and probably would have struggled with top-tier FCS schools tbqh). If Poe had come back for his senior season he would have been under his third coach in four years. He is unquestionably raw, but he was also one of the few things about Memphis football over the past few years that was fun to watch.

Opposing o-lines sold out to keep him from making any impact, and this limited both his numbers and his ability to shine on tape. He still was clearly one of the best players on the field when he played, at least from the 15+ games I saw with him on the team, but it's impossible to know exactly how good he is considering the situation he was coming from.

The story on him before this season was that he was a hard worker and a freakish athlete who would probably leave early and be 2nd-4th rounder. He never came across as lazy on the field, despite all of the freaking out over him I've seen from people who watched zero Memphis games all year. He also clocked a ton of playing time due to Larry Porter's teams' spectacular lack of depth.

He could easily bust, considering his awful coaching to date and how hard the NFL is to thrive in, but he's a reasonable pick (if a slight reach) and I wouldn't be at all shocked if he turned into a really valuable player.

He's basically a calculated risk, but I think the "BUST ALERT" stuff is oversold due to his anonymity before the combine.

My wife makes a breakfast casserole:

crumbled bread
eggs
diced onion
mushrooms
spicy sausage
cheese

Yours looks similar minus the bread. I need to get her to make it without the bread.

One of our weekday dinner staples is a creation I call eggthing.

1. make hash browns in a large skillet
2. when hashbrowns are almost done put some sharp cheddar cheese and ham on top of half and fold over.
3. add beaten eggs to the side of the skillet vacated by the folded over hash browns, cook as scrambled eggs
4. when the eggs are just about set, mix all that together.

Season with salt, pepper, catsup, sriracha or whatever floats your boat.
