I'm bummed the Colts didn't draft Anger so they could have Anger and Angerer.

That said, I'd be happy with Dennard, Massaquoi, Cousins, McNutt, or DeQuan Menzie.

Iioka is an absolute must have.

I like all of those players, but Iioka would have the most impact.

i'd consider trading up for iloka if we didn't need a swing fb

Only because someone will move up in front of us and swipe his ass too.

Come on, he would be a great pick.

He has all the talent of a young Matt Cassel.

Out of that list...

Iloka, Charles, Miller.

i don't know if iloka is better than taylor, but his size is rare and makes him 'potentially' a better pick

Please tell me you've read the comments on facebook when the Chiefs announce each pick. The true fans can't contain their boners. Or their love of our pro-bowl QB. I wish there were enough of us here that we could troll the shit out of them.

There were maybe ten comments that loved the pick to protect our QB. I'm sure they have visions of Albert at LG swimming in their heads.

Games are won in the trenches, what a great draft!!

Well, we need a backup RB, a backup Safety, maybe a 3rd TE and possibly a FB.

I'm just ignoring QB at this point, as it is too late for anyone that matters.

I don't care who we take, just make it something other than a lineman.

(not that I think we didn't need depth on the line, it's just...boring)

You should have McNutt instead of Toon there.

WalterFootball has him ranked 4th, only behind the three guys that went in the 1st rd.

Lamar Miller*, RB, Miami
Height: 5-11. Weight: 212.
40 Time: 4.38.
Vertical: 33.
Hand: 9 1/4.
Projected Round (2012): 2.
4/24/12: Miller ran a fast 40 time, as expected, at the Combine. He didn't perform as well in the receiving drills and some are questioning if he can be a three-down back in the NFL. That is the reason why Miller has fallen behind Wilson and Martin, who project to being every-down backs.

Miller was a dynamic playmaker in 2011. He ran for 1,272 yards and nine touchdowns rushing while averaging 5.46 yards per carry. As a receiver, Miller caught 17 passes for 85 yards and a score. He showed the speed to break off long touchdown runs, and is a threat to score with any touch. Miller also has the size and strength to handle a large amount of carries. The redshirt sophomore was one of the most dynamic backs in college football.

Miller ran for 646 yards (six yards per carry) in 2010, scoring six touchdowns. He looks like a future starting running back in the NFL. Miller has playmaking speed and the size to handle a large amount of carries. He is a little raw and is not as polished as runners with more experience, but the benefit of that is less wear-and-tear compared to other prospects. Miller has a unique and special skill set.

Robert Turbin. Please.

It's bad, but Iloka isn't a good pro safety. The guy is stiff as a board.

Yeah, I'm not big on Iloka.

I'd rather have Aaron Henry, but the desire for help at safety isn't out of line.

Cousins, Cousins.....Cousins. In a competition with Quin and Stanzi....he should do well, IMHO.

Of course, some IA folks would prefer that Quin be Stanzi's ONLY competion...heh.

How about a backup OT/OG who can also back up the long snapper? However, he must also have been a team captain and also Honorable Mention All Conference.

It's not, but I'd rather have Turbin in the fourth. Both Charles and Hillis are coming off of injuries and there's nothing else on the roster in terms of a three down back.

At least at safety you could have Brown or Washington play there in a pinch.

Sure, I would absolutely love to avoid the Sabby situation every again, so I hope that they draft a safety somewhere.

Guy would be a nice pick on the third day IMO.

I am not an Iowa fan.

I only follow college football to watch pro prospects, and could not give fat hairy rat's ass who wins or loses.

Kirk Cousins is a weaker armed Stanzi clone.

Why draft one backup to replace another backup?

I wonder if the light will ever come on for Washington?

BossChief

Our third safety is basically a starter that plays almost 60% of the defensive snaps.

We only have two safeties under contract.

Both are recovering from surgery.

Only a fool wouldn't have safety as a targeted position in this draft for KC.

Even if we took Barron, I would still be calling for another safety.

It's nice because this is a deep safety draft and there are still 3 or 4 guys that we could use in our defense.

It sucks that San Diego knew this and moved in front of us to take Taylor.

They know our defensive sets and that we NEED another starting quality safety and they stole him from us.

Great move on their part.
