Way too early for this. :) I guess this guy has us winning the West with this draft position. I doubt the pick will excite many people here...

23. Kansas City Chiefs -- Landry Jones, QB, Oklahoma

Jones struggled at the end of last season and probably hurt his chances of being a top pick in this year's draft. If he can return to his 2010 form, however, he has the size to get back in the good graces of NFL teams, who are always eager to take a chance on tall gunslingers. The Chiefs could also look at Virginia Tech quarterback Logan Thomas, who often gets compared to Cam Newton as a potential breakout star.

I guess it would work if the other 5 QBs I want are off the board.

Biggest thing I notice about this mock is:
OAK @ 4
SDC @ 13
DEN @ 17
KC @ 23

We win the Division, but no playoff game, again.

Why does everyone hate Jones? I know next to nothing about him.

If by the end of next season we do not have a good picture of Stanzi's abilities I'll be all on board about firing Pioli. Right now I'm still somewhat on his side of the fence with my hands on it preparing to jump.

Like we actually have some kind of pull.

(just a general comment - I do it too)

I know. But I've been staying away from "Props to Pioli/Fire Pioli" CP debate. Some of his moves really frustrate me and yet others I like. But if next year we don't find out if Stanzi has anything Pioli is not doing his job. That's when I think I'll vocally join the "fire his ass" crowd. It won't matter to Clark, but at least it's a release for me.

I fugure, If the Chiefs need to find out if Stnzi has what it takes to be an NFL QB next season, you'll more than likely have a high draft pick and will end up taking a DT from LSU and try to convert him into a 3-4 DE.

A 12 month advance mock draft from McLovin. This was worth my time.

It's a good set of clues for the average fans to follow some prospects. Don't knock it.

Well I went into it thinking Barkley was the guy, but he's apparently the third best QB prospect out there at this point.

Of course all of this stuff will change in the course of a year, and guys who are not even listed will rocket up or down...

Just to make sure everyone is aware of the writer's credentials, anyone who listens to the Dan Patrick Show would know this is the perennial punchingbag of the show "McLovin"

He knows absolutely nothing about football outside of the Eagles and his opinions should be taken with a BIG grain of salt

The author is a fuckwit. We've got a great set of clues right here on draft planet. Check it out.

This writer regularly referred to Robert Griffin III as Robert Griffith Jr III... FWIW

If Logan Thomas improves a little more this year, I could support that pick...
