Watching "The Expendables", and Stallone is riding around in a '55 Ford Pickup. My first ride was a '55, 302 V-8, Dual Cherry Bombs, Candy Rootbeer and sweet mags.

What was your first ride? You never forget your first.

1979 Z-28. It was a shell with a blown engine, blown transmission and a cracked drive shaft. Put it all back together and drove it from 1988 to 1995. I sold it when I moved here to KC from Florida.

I was 16 years old in 1996 and bought it for $1,200. I paid for it completely on my own as I had been working and saving since I was 14. The car was an absolute champ. It had the bullet proof 318 engine. Kept the car for 2 years then sold it. I loved it but it used a ton of gas.

'95 Ford Escort LX station wagon a.k.a. the "Shaggin' Wagon"
5-speed manual
4 cylinder
green

It was the slowest, least exciting car a high school kid could've had. But I still remember it fondly from all of the fun times my friends and I had riding around in it.

1979 Buick Regal coupe. 5.4 liter. Way more car than a 16 year old should have.

Thank God gas was under a dollar a gallon when I was driving it.

I had a 79 Z as well. Hugger orange with a 4 spd. The rings were so bad I had to change the plugs after each drive.

Mine was white with the orange/red stickers and red interior. I know mine had a 327 in it when I bought it (blown). I replaced it with a 350 and ran it really hard until I sold it.. I know it was wrecked after I sold it. They cut the roof off and used it as a sled over at Longview Lake. I miss that old car.

First car was a 1984 4 door Buick LeSabre with a salvage title. The first car I ever bought was a 1963 Buick Electra 225, I still have this car and will never get rid of her. I bought her when I was 16 years old, my dad helped me fix her up.

An 85 Olds 442. Excellent condition . People would leave their phone numbers on a piece of paper and place it under my wipers asking if I was willing to sell it to call them.

Loved that car
