Two hours in (surgery is about four hours) and we were just updated that so far so good.Earlier when the surgeon came in to admitting to visit with us the mrs asked how soon they'd get her up and start walking and he answered later today and she was like

Thanks for all the thoughts and prayers too :thumb:

Unfortunately, she cannot take her RA meds for a full month while recovering which means she's gonna have to push thru the swelling and inflamation pain in her feet to do the walking therapy. She's tough though and the doc has told her if she doesn't push thru the pain and the back doesn't hold she'll be in a wheelchair.

Sounds like she's in for a rough month. Hope it goes as well and as quickly for her as possible.

I pray that the surgery is a success and she surprises the doctors with the speed of her recovery.
