Amazes me that in this day and age people still think toys are somehow possessed with demons or are part of some great Satanic plan. This is the kind of bullshit the Jehovah's Witnesses indoctrinate their kids with.

I can't help but feel terrible about losing 15 years of life, all in my youth, to these assholes. If and when this cult goes down... hookers and blow are on me.

Wow. I didn't know they couldn't play with toys, however I do see where your disdain of holidays comes from.

They can play with toys. Just not magic of fighting toys.

Ball in a cup anyone?

What if the toy was actually possessed? It would make sense then.

How often are toys possessed though? Very few number... unless they are Smurfs. (JW's believe that Smurfs are demon like critters... completely banned)

I take it then there won't be any JW's playing the next Guild Wars 2 beta this next weekend?

LMAO

Happened to one of my Okie Noodling cousins.
When he was just a little guy they were staying at his grandparents farm, which is on some old Cherokee land, and he had a Teddy Ruxpin that out of the blue started going off in the middle of the night. It woke him and my aunt up so she grabbed it and flipped it over to take out the batteries then disappears with it outside. When she returned my cousin asked her what she did with his Teddy Ruxpin and she said that when she went to take the batteries out there were none in it so she took it outside and burned it.

They may actually be right on that one. ;)

Seriously though, It's sorry to see a child's imagination quashed because it's against a doctrine.

All kidding aside agreed. Im pretty sure God, or at least the God Id be willing to believe in, is a lot more concerned with the health of ones soul than whatever inanimate objects they play with as a child.

Makes me think of my favorite toy growing up, Legos. I'm depending on my use of imagination with the blocks, which way it would fall against the doctrine.

I used to have a "My Buddy" doll large action figure when I was 5-6. Then that movie came out. I almost immediately gave it away.
