He can't throw for shit, but I really like his swing from the left side. Overall, Ned has handled the catcher platoon pretty well in Perez's absence, which I hope ends soon.

Remember Gregor Blanco? He's starting in RF for the Giants and leading off... at least in this weekend series vs. the Cubs. Don't know if he's filling for an injury or not. Noticed his average is .267.

Speaking of batting average, Melky is leading the majors in the category. Probably looking at an All-Star starter for the NL. I'm happy for Melky and it makes me hate Sanchez a little more.

Detroit lost to the yankees today, so we're one game back from surpassing them in the AL Central. They've got Cleveland coming up, we've got Minnesota. Hopefully by Wednesday we'll be in 3rd in the AL Central.

He's also gotten pretty lucky a few times...hell, he was lucky that ball today was foul.

That said, he's blown two saves, and the first, when he hit back to back players, wouldn't have been blown without Escobar's error.

No, my point is every closer allows baserunners. The A's outing where he hit the 2 guys was awful, and that game last week where he walked a couple guys was awful, but other than that, he's been pretty nails.
