Unless they changed something the last couple years, it should have the MDS 5.7 Hemi, with about 370HP. I have gotten up to 28mpg with mine, and it will blow the tires off at will.

I love the Copacabana references, but there is also 'She walked like a woman but talked like man..Oh my Lola,..."

Actually, those two songs aside, I have always named my alter-ego Lola. I have no idea why, but thats her name. So the car is representing my alter ego:thumb:

It'll lower the interior temperature of the car by 20 percent, which means it'll only be 180 degrees in there.

Tinting is typically legal in most states, but not to the degree it is in Vegas. I cant have the tint I have in California. I live here, so I can handle the heat. Doesnt bother me really.

Looks pretty sweet.

Of all the old muscle car remakes, the Charger is the only one I can think of that looks completely different from its 70s counterpart.

Just don't know why they didn't simply name it something else.

Wow, nice.

You name your car? Interesting.

I think I'm going to start doing that. My washer will be called Wanda and my refrigerator will be named Larry.

I'm going to call my phillps head screwdriver Phillip, for obvious reasons.

And my vacumm will be called Diane because.......well, just because.

Seriously though, looks like a nice car.

I agreed with you up until the improvements for this year.

If you will notice, there is quite a resemblence in the tail lights to the 70, and the side scallops hint at the 68 to 70 Chargers.

I hear the interiors have received vast upgrades as well.

The Nav system is amazing, it will do route updates, do to traffic changes detected by Sirius. That is a pretty strong feature in the Chicago area, or on long road trips.

Yeah right, for the wife! ROFL I hear that a lot, especially with old muscle cars.

You would probably have to say that it was hers, for her to let you buy it, right?

But I doubt she really cares about 425+ HP, Brembo brakes, etc. does she?

Wouldn't she be happy with a puny 300 or 370 HP?

Sorry for stereotyping your Mrs., I have just seen it so many times with some of my buds.

They have a nice muscle car, and figure a convenient way to get another one, is for the wife to have one.

I was guilty of it once, and I paid for it dearly. In fact, I still hear about it on occasion, 25 years later.

This one actually has a 427 FE out of a í64 Galaxy, or at least Iíve traced the transmission to that car so Iím assuming the engine came attached to it.
The starter was a bite to get out due to lack of room to get my dick skinners in there with a wrench but once I got that out the transmission separated from the bell housing then I pulled the bell housing off separately. Where Iím stuck is adapting the new shifter in. It came with adjustable links and all but Iím going to have to make an adaptor mount.

Mine is about post 61 I think.

It is 4 years old now, not a single problem other than the hard disc drive when new, best car I have ever had.

Has got as high as 28 on the hwy, but averages about 25, and will run in the high 13s at 103 in the quarter. I love burying my foot in it once in a while, it will bring a smile every time.

I hear the 13s will be the last year, as the Italians want hang a Barracuda name on one of the Fiats, and drop the Challenger.

At least I've finally come up with a plan of attack. I was digging through some hardware at work and came up with a couple of bolts that fit the shifter body perfectly so I'm going to weld the heads to the adapter plate and use them like studs. I think it'll work out pretty slick.
Problem now is we've got a couple of friends flying in from England that we're picking up tonight so this project is on hold for at least the next two weeks.

When I was looking at this car, I was also looking at a Challenger. They even had me drive the 6 CYL just to see how powerful it is. And it was a smooth ride. So as a weekender, go for it. The Challenger is sweet. Im just a four door, Hemi, fast car kind of girl...But I came close to getting a Challenger...

Not sure now. Now I'm deciding between a Camaro, Mustang and the Challenger...ugh lol.
