No, once you cause anyone to question baseball, Selig will make sure you receive protection so you don't taint him or the league. He probably doesn't get tested anymore.

Getz just can't let the ball go ... just can't take the chance

He has to stop the ball and keep the guy at third even if Escobar would of had the better angle.Yeah, I don't blame him for that. The ball's coming right at him. You can't expect him to know that Escobar is in perfect position behind him.

Classic Broxton.

Gets the job done. Gives us all Aortic Stenosis in the process.

And yet for all of that anxiety, sterling stats and another save.

I got a little bit excited when they showed footage of Perez and Meyers tearing it up in the minors before the game. Can't wait till they're on the major league team.

Broxton has been well worth the signing this off-season, even with the allowed base runners, he buckles down when he has to most of the time.

Really wanted to see Mendoza get the no hitter but a great perfomance nontheless. Guttiest performance since he replaced Duffy on short notice. I'm a fan.

Keep working on that trade value Brox.

Not a pretty win.

Stagnant offense, some sloppy fielding, etc.

But to get off the schnide against a former pitcher on a timely, clutch base hit late.

I will take it.

Cheers!

Really enjoyed the fairy boat jump celebration by the outfielders. You're 9 games under .500 a-holes.

Just got home. Crowd was electric for most of the night, even when the PA system wasn't working. Nobody around me was talking about the no hitter. Then when Mendoza was warming up for the 7th, one of the drunk guys behind us noticed it and said oh Merdinza(that's what he actually said) hasn't given up a hit yet. After Ned pulled Mendoza same drunk guys were trying to figure out why. I really just wanted to turn around and tell them because Mendoza has been struggiling trying to get strikes and it was still a 1 run game. But I just ignored them. Fun game to be at, great pitching all around and even though UFC won't admit it, there was clutch hitting in the 8th.
