Been unemployed for almost 2.5 months. Kinda weird getting on the computer and not going to job sites anymore. Went to a couple preliminary interviews (they weren't hiring but would be around Sept) and wasn't impressed with what they were offering. No vacation or benefits at a couple and the other one left quite a bit to be desired. Yes I know it's not something a business HAS to do but it sure makes working there better.

Tuesday I went to an interview doing the kind of work I did in PHX for the last 2 years (compounding pharmacy technician). Thought the interview went well. The woman that interviewed me said they'd get back to me tomorrow(Wed). So I went home and waited. Then a couple hours later my phone rang and she said "We'd like to offer you the job" and like that my job search was over.

More money than I was making in PHX and great benefits to boot.

Oh and Cassel sucks or whatever.

Are you capable of emptying Xnax pills and replacing them with salt?

How do you think the pharmaceutical industry makes their money?

It's not all from boner pills.

My old job we made mostly drugs for animals. Capsules, ointments, suspensions, gels etc. Sometimes we'd get special requests depending on type of animal. On a couple of occasions we made rice krispie treats infused with medicine for rhino's.

New place is more human orientated.

Oh and thanks everyone. :toast:

Congrats! Anything to do with the pharmaceuticals have always interested me. I hope to be joining you in the "employed" category sometime in the next week or so. (though I've only been un-employed for a week or so)

EDIT: I can't fucking spell this morning

Nothing is better than getting a job when you're unemployed. Other than, of course, being rich enough to not need a job.

Just remember: you didn't get that job yourself. You didn't build that road you drove on to get to the interview. You didn't sew those pants you wore.
