you really need to reset on this guy. He's running very good routes so far. Sure, he's pint sized and is never going to chase jerry rice's record. wtf man. the whole deal with the parcells way is found in the fact he measures players by their heart, not just shoe size. that is the legacy of the parcells tree. I know he had guys, but consider he drafted Jon Vilma for example.

Dex is never gonna be a #1 anything, but he just might help them win some games.

I don't know about Wylie, he's not a slot guy to me. He's kind of a strider.

We acquired a shit fuck rape ton of undrafted secondary players to take to camp.

None of them wound up being anything special at all. Pretty damn disappointing. Usually you expect one or two guys from that crowd to at least make things interesting.

Let him run good routes then. It's his only value as a player.

The reason why I (and probably Clay as well) shit on him so hard this year is because people continue to think this punk ass midget is a sparkplug. He's not. He had the perfect opportunity to demonstrate his sparkplugginess and fucking failed miserably.

Let him contribute as a crisp route runner who will make Cassel feel safe. But let's end this charade about specially designed plays to get him the ball in space. Know who needs to get the fucking ball in space? Jamaal Charles, Peyton Hillis, and Dwayne Bowe. Charles for his LEGITIMATE sparkplug style and ability to make guys miss, and Bowe and Hillis for their huge cocks and ability to physically maul 2 or 3 defenders every time they build up a head of steam. Everyone else on this team can go fuck their mothers when it comes to getting the ball in space. No more specially designed plays for midgets. If they get the ball, it's because they got open and were lucky enough to be seen by Cassel. Nothing more.

It took Charles a couple years, but he never looked like a worthless piece of shit when he first entered the league. He looked like a guy who could make some plays, but to do it consistently he had to adjust to the pros and work hard.

The same goes for Sproles. The dude single-handedly won some playoff games for San Diego very early in his career.

McCluster has been nothing but a rancid turd his entire career. Again, let's hope he really has refined his routes as a WR, because that's all he's got.

McCluster isn't even comparable to Reggie Bush, who took forever to get going in the NFL. Bush actually put up 1000 yards as a RB once. McCluster could never come close to doing that.

Are you talking about the San Diego game?

Maybe if he had scored his return TD when the Chiefs were down 5 with 3 seconds left on the clock in the 4th quarter.

Until then, I'm not going to chalk up one of his whopping TWO total TDs in a close game to one game, especially on a play that happened early in the game.

Do you guys remember Eric Metcalf? He played WR, RB, PR, and KR for the Browns and Falcons from the late 80's into the early 90's. He was awesome and was a real spark plug. He is probably the original Sproyles, McCluster, or Reggie Bush type and the guy scouts compare all of those guys to.

I really thought McCluster was a good draft pick and hoped he would be the next Metcalf but it hasn't happened. I thought he and Charles in the shotgun in same backfield would be pretty scary. This will be his third year. You know what you have in a player by the third year. This is it for McCluster.

Here is a clip of Metcalf if you've never seen him. He was the real deal and none of them are even close to being as good as he was.

Saw this on rotowire and thought you'd enjoy:

"McCluster was Matt Cassel's favorite target for the game, leading the Chiefs with nine looks his way, and he appears to be very comfortable operating out of the slot. I agree with this, McCluster whether its a 5, 6, or 7 yard gain he gets per catch, thats still called moving the chains. We are better off with him in the slot. Sure him and Breaston might split time, might not, Breaston might come in off the bench to supplement D-Bowe and Baldwin and we just focus and rely on McCluster in the slot.

McCluster is the best slot receiver through the preseason. Breaston is more of a #1 or #2 receiver.

I know exactly what you meant. He's not a #1. He's a #2 or #3. He was #3 in Arizona and he's #3 here. He's never played the slot and McCluster has been pretty impressive there this preseason. By far the best receiver thus far. We could trade Breaston and I wouldn't shed a tear.

Not expendable at all, because he is a good receiver who can interchange with bowe or baldwin. Mccluster can't.

I think the team carrys 5 bowe, baldwin, mccluster, breaston, copper

You aren't going to carry a guy who makes 5 mil a year to be a 4th string wr. I bet breaston isn't on the roster next year if mccluster flashes.
