It's a 2minute drill with the D keeping everything in front. Anybody else see that play at the about 50 with 14 seconds left?

I'm wondering about that last play. The Raider RB was going to be tackled in bounds and the clock would keep running. They actually showed him "losing" the ball out of bounds. And by losing the ball I mean it looked like he intentionally fumbled OOB. I thought there was a clock run off in the last two minutes of the half for that. I've got the sound down so maybe the Raiders took a TO.

WilliamTheIrish

They're showing the Ben Davidson spearing incident with Len Dawson at the half. It's a tribute to the late Ben Davidson.

Palmer threw for almost 2,800 yards in half a season- you take away that Chiefs game where he had like 15 minutes to learn the playbook and Palmer finishes the season tied for 11th in QB rating and 6th in avg yards per game

Carson Palmer's career line: 25447 yards, 62.7 compl.%, 167 TD, 116 INT, 86.3 rating.

Matt Cassel's career line: 11699 yards, 59 compl.%, 76 TD, 45 INT, 82.5 rating.

Palmer's had a longer career, but the ratios are closer than I'd expect.

Not sure if this is depressing news for Palmer, or great news for Cassel. LMAO

Palmer was 17 of 26 for 181 yards with two interceptions. One was a terrible decision on a screen pass that was intercepted by defensive end Willie Young. The other was a well-thrown ball that bounced out of the arms of wide receiver Eddie McGee.

The Raiders had 513 yards of total offense and 27 first downs, and they held Detroit to 281 yards and a scant 2.7 yards per attempt on the ground.

Spin it anyway you need to PGM :)

I beg to differ short man with moustache-

The 1st int was tipped at the LOS and did a 45 degree right into the arm of a DT

The second was caught by the WR (pass was on the $) and the Wr was drilled and the balled popped out and was picked off by the safety

Neither of those int's were the fault of Palmer

Yours has cost you far more than a 2nd and 63 million, he is entrenched deep at the QB slot there with no chance of losing his job based on performance... Orton should be the QB of this team this year, he is 10 times better than Matt and the Chiefs let him walk and replaced him with a career backup and a stoner to not give him any competition.

Raiders have one of the better D fronts in the game, certainly in the AFC West

And McFadden looks to be primed to have a great season

If you can stop the run and run the ball- thats usually good for 7-8 wins

Raiders have tremendous speed and playmakers at the WR position- They are going to cause a lot of mismatches come the season.

They moved the ball 80-90 yards down the field on the Lions defense with Suh and co. twice in 2 possessions.. Raiders wont be the 2004 Rams offensively- but they will move the ball down the field and gain big running plays with the speed and power they have with DMC and Ti Jones

No more single high safety for the Raiders defense now that al has passed- already in pre-season alone you can see a huge difference in the way the Raiders are attacking and shutting down run games

They held the Lions to like 16 yards rushing well in to the 2nd qtr, and did all that missing their best DT in Seymour

they don't want to talk about that man, all they care about is what Carson does and any way they can justify Hue making a bad move to get Carson...

To be fair, Palmer's first INT was a ball that was dislodged. It looked like the receiver was bracing for a body shot but instead his hands/arms were hit, the ball went straight up and fell into a Detroit LB's hands.

Also to be fair, the Lions were one the worst rushing O's in the league. Holding them down is what every team did last year. Although I DO like Raiders DL.

Pryor definitely had some highlight reel plays. Just before his first long TD, what happened? He threw a really bad pick to Alphonso White. It was nullified due to a defensive penalty. White narrowly missed another pick earlier in the 3rd. He escaped on a sure sack, reversed field and outran the D for 60 yards. The rollout pass was beautiful.

He's a project. A shotgun/option QB? If you into the season with him as the #2, good luck.

Now that's fair, Pryor won't be #2 he is a project and we all know that, he could be a project for 3 years

You're frustrated, and a bit irritated- I can see it in your writings- I can understand, you're a Chiefs fan and the future looks pretty dim-

In your defense- it is common for people to bring others down to feel better about their own misfortunes

It's like when your team is 2-10 and you flip over to watch a team in the AFC West that is actually good and rooting for their opponent and giggling like a 12 year old at a slumber party when that team in the AFC West goes 3 and out in the 2nd qtr-

California prison system is pretty progressive, isn't it?

Was Chiefsshrink your psychology instructor?

He's not- he's the #3 behind Leinart who has a boo boo on his finger

Pryors a guy the Raiders will groom for 2-3 years- he's a development player- much like a minor leaguer in AAA baseball- hopefully he'll progressively get better each year, and step in when Palmer retires in 3-4 years- Reggie did that with Rodgers behind Favre- Now, before anybody blows a gasket, I am in no way comparing Pryor to Rogers- I'm only comparing the two's grooming period under Reggie McKenzie

I would love to see him contribute somehow on this team early... You just don't find that kind of athlete everyday

Typical Raider dumbshittery. I will ALWAYS take great pleasure that the Buccaneers ended the career of the last good QB the Raiders will ever have.

You do realize the Bucs have to go the next 10 years 16-0 just to have an all time record of .500?

BTW, Freeman was one of the worst QB's in the NFL last year- worse than Cassell.. I'd be careful if I were you

I dont think that'll happen as long as Palmer is healthy

Could possibly see that scenerio if the Raiders are up by 20+ points with under 3 minutes or something.. or if the Raiders happen to have locked down a playoff spot by week 17- could see Pryor then- But doubt he'll be used much

Yep, terrible start to the franchise, however that 2002 superbowl season still was great. The last 10 games (after the ownership sold the team out to London) was among the worst football I have ever seen. But it had been 20 years since I had seen it that bad..

2 years ago the Bucs won 3 games all year

In 2006 the Bucs won 4 games

In 2004 they won 5 games

So you did actually see worse football

Last year they would have gotten 200 on the ground against us

In last year's win vs OAK, the Lions rushed for 57 yards.

Manning has definitely lost some zip on his ball...

he's still accurate, but there a few pinpoint throws I don't think he'll be able to get away with due to arm strength
