View Full Version : Chiefs Should the Chiefs start Sheffield over Studebaker?

Thoughts?

Studebaker is awfully slow....and I'm not so sure he's far much better scheme wise than Sheffield, at least put the more athletic better pass rusher out there.

A better question is, "Should Sheffield invest in a sturdier vagina?"

I would answer that, "Yes."

I thought stud-backer was supposed to be the next best thing

Sheff's durability he probably wont make it a half anyway, so Studebaker will come in regardless. Might as well save the trouble and skip the middle man and just play the slow white guy

You've got some explosion in Sheffield. I'd play him.

This thread is like Pete and Roy's thread had a baby thread.

Turrible.

Um, No. Studebaker has just the right amount of grit, I'm unsure our defense's chemistry would be balanced without him.

The guy is a liability in every area of his game except dropping in coverage. Can't rush the passer and CANNOT seal the edge.

Sheffield. Studebaker is just one big liability. I know Sheffield has trouble staying healthy but he's the more athletic player and should start over Studebaker.

Wouldn't mind seeing them split, Sheffield on 1st down and Studebaker on obvious passing downs.

Studebaker can get some ints if the ball comes his way.

Might also help Sheffield from re-injuring his hymen.

Who got injured such that we'd be thinking about starting either of these guys?

Hali is suspended from game 1.

Interesting. Perhaps we could get a thread going about who should start in his place.

That's a great idea. Someone should do that and name it something like "Should the Chiefs start Sheffield over Studebaker?".

I think stud-backer, but let Chef-Field get in the mix as long as his injury prone body lets him...

Studebaker is not good in coverage. He lucked out and had 2 passes thrown right to him against Pittsburgh three years ago. He's shown no ability in coverage since. Being lucky and being good are different. He doesn't do anything well.

I'm with you. Houston at ROLB and Studebaker at LOLB is what I would do if it were up to me. However, Crennel probably knows something I don't because it looks like he's not moving Houston. You get an all around better LBer in Studebaker but Sheffield is a better rusher. All I know is that Sam Baker, the Falcons left tackle, isn't that good and we've got to get to Ryan. It's one of the keys to the game.

If we aren't going to move Houston to the right side I would start Studebaker.

Studebaker is even worse on the left, gets absolutely washed out every play. keep Houston where he is and start Sheffield, rotate in the slow white guy only if necessary.

Let's just put Hali in a Sheffield uniform and call it good.

wonder if anyone's ever tried to do that.

with a black visor you think opposing team mates would know?

i guess with cameras everynow that would be next to nearly impossible to pull off....but 20 yrs ago I bet that would have worked.

KC should scour the waiver wire and bring in an OLB and S from somewhere.

My bad. I thought you were just stating that Hali was suspended and that it was news, not that you were answering another person's question about it. Thus, my sarcasm should have been directed at them.

Have you been under a rock?

He just woke up from one hell of a stone binge. He's thirsty, has a grey tongue, and a "kill for a cheeto" hunger. And he doesn't know Hali shared his bowl....
