View Full Version : Chiefs Gray vs Eachus

Its hard to deny that Eachus has made some plays these last two preseason games. I know Gray was a TC hero, but Eachus has actually produced on the field. There is no way we can carry 5 RB's, so it's going to be hard to determine who to keep.

Do you go with the guy who has been producing in the preseason, or do you go with the player whom we believe has a better skillset and more potential, but has spent most of TC in the tub?

I'm really curious to see what the Chiefs do, what say you CP?

While i agree that it should be Gray, but what happened to "You dont make the club in the tub"? We haven't seen enough of Gray, but we know that Eachus can make plays as long as the line blocks well.

I still think it'll be interesting debate.

It's the classic Production vs Potential.

Gray, we burned a pick on him this year

If he makes it... Somebody might pick him up.

Draughn. Keep Eachus. Someone would definitely pick him off our practice squad.

Eachus looked fast against the 3rd string. Not so much early on in the game against better competition. Gray should be kept over Eachus if you're going that route.

If Gray wanted a roster spot he should have been on the field.

Euchus earned a spot.

That's the way i feel too.

If Training camp justice exists, then Eachus & Maneri earn roster spots.

I'm really torn on it.

I think that Gray has more skill, more potential.

I think i'd have to go Gray and hope that i could sneak Euchus on the practice squad.

Gray produced just fine before his injury.

What is his injury? IR candidate?

You could see that tonight. When he played against the 1st/2nd string he didn't get anywhere. When it was the 3rd string, he could do his spins and get away. Granted some of it is blocking, but that is not all it was. I would take Gray, but I would want to keep Eachus if possible.

Gray to IR, Eachus on TE 53

I seriously doubt Eachus would be plucked off the PS. Not even a contest, either way. Gray stays. After Hillis signs his long-term with someone else next year, we have another RB candidate for next year that knows the system from the PS.

Vegas would drop KC to 900:1 if they carried 2 light skinned RB on their final 53.

I looked it up and it says that Gray has a foot injury, he also battled a hamstring injury in training camp. DeQuan Menzie is battling a hip flexor. Gray probably wont go on IR cause he started practicing some this past week.

Our own version of "Danny Woodhead" with a little more power and size. I'm down for it. He runs with attitude and a little speed and that's what is needed. Granted he ran against 3rd and 4th team D's BUT he did well against these type of D's as he should have IF he is legit. I think the question is will he be a compliment to the special teams as to whether he gets cut or not.

Hillis and Eachus - 2 nasty white boy RBs with a little speed carrying the rock at the goal line or on 3rd short.

I dig it:thumb:

I'm not big on keeping "potential" when you're talking about a 4th RB.

Keep Eachus.

Like Detoxing said - you don't make the club sitting in the tub.

Eachus is a nice story, but I doubt he'll ever make it in the NFL. He plays with a lot of heart, too bad he isn't built like a FB.

Gray, I like. Draughn I like.

To Eachus Own! Eachus won't make it past waivers? Or an injured Gray won't make it past waivers?

I don't believe we'll let a 2012 draft pick walk and if he's started some lite practice this past week he'll probably be healthy in 10 days for the opener. Eachus Own to the practice squad and Gray in the right 53.

I don't care if he can play 4 positions if he's only average at all of them...

WTF has Draughn done to ensure he has a roster spot? As near as I can see, he flashed a bit in TC but has pretty well sucked balls in game action.

Gray, I like. Draughn I like.

Eachus could probably play fullback if they asked him to bulk up a little bit and work on his blocking technique. The dude has got potential and runs with a mean nasty streak too, he's the type of player every team love to have cause he gives his all on every single play. I didnt expect much from him when the chiefs signed him but he has really impressed me. I really hope if they do keep 4 RB's that they keep Gray and Eachus over Draughn.

Eachus earned the spot over Draughn. Let Gray be the 3rd RB behind Charles and Hillis and Eachus can be the 4th RB and backup FB if he needed too also.

Draughn ran well in Game 4.
He'll have the edge over Eachus since he can catch passes out of the backfield.

Eachus ran better. Draughn sucks at catching passes. Eachus can. Screw Draughn he is scum and there was a reason why he was cut from Washington last year. Training Camp bloomer but nothin more than that. Has sucked in the Preseason.

A quick look and I just cut the roster to 46. So that leave the wrong 7 to choose from.
