Imagine that.

He IS a Donk homer, after all.

Maybe if this were 1957, sure. I could see the Chiefs in the picture.

Also, I bet these picks were pre-Brady Quinn injury.

HERP-DERP!

Don't see it.

This team is talented... on paper. But there is much to be desired after this preseason.

You can use preseason as an excuse, but the regular season isn't going to magically let the defense pressure the QB and cover its own shadow. Hope Flowers is on the sidelines for precautionary reasons.

I'm not too worried about the offense.

If the injury bug isn't what it is we will go far.

Ahh man, I'm usually one to give the Chiefs the benefit of the doubt but I'm not even betting on them to win the AFCW. Seems like there are just too many unprovens.

That injury bug that we seem to have is a nasty nasty thing.

All in on the Raiders.

The odds have to be set up for a huge payout.

Only 3 of the 16 don't pick us to at least get a wild card. 13-16 say we're going to the playoffs! To the intertube!

You serious? I'm definitly a lot more worried about the offense than the defense. Matt Cassell will do that and the defense is roughly the same as last year, with possibly even better personnel overall, and it showed to be good last year.

This team didn't lose it's talent the last 4 weeks. KC will compete all year long and be in the hunt, winning the division is going to be a challenge though.

I'd be SHOCKED if KC wins the West. We're going back to playing "Marty Ball" only our QB and defense are not as good as when we played it before. In the meantime, the league is a pass-first league with rules to support that style of play.

The defense was good most of last year with the same team. I'll use the 16 regular season games from last year before I write them off because of the stupid fucking preseason.

As long as Flowers is ok of course...

The defense was really only good down the stretch. Thing is, that was last year. This year, our CB depth is pathetic and our D-line has been pushed around. There is definately cause for concern.

The most surprising part of this is that only 5 of 16 NFL analysts watch preseason games.

no way in hell.

if the Chiefs go worse than 3-3 at the bye, they're done.

and, even if we go, BFD. Means nothing with Matt back there.
I know there are tons of 'Cassel Sucks' threads/post, but honestly - I don't see the team doing anything in the playoffs with him a QB, even if they make it.

:spock: This division is sooooo ripe for the picking. Every damn team has thier warts and KC is easily the most talented team in the West.

All I know is Bowe better get 10 TDs and 1000 yards or he wasn't worth keeping over Carr.

True about the division being "ripe for the picking", but our talent advantage from top to bottm is not that overwhelming to compensate for our weaknesses. QB is going to absolutely kill us and CB just might also. I think the team with the best QB wins the division. Everything else is pretty close except that position. It will be a difference maker.
