Two captains from each unit.

Cassel and Lilja are the vets, I'm guessing thats what happened. I would have rather it be Winston.

The entire Inner Circle:

The Kansas City Chiefs announced their team captains for this season. Here they are:

Defense: Derrick Johnson, Eric Berry

Offense: Matt Cassel, Ryan Lilja

Special Teams: Terrance Copper, Dustin Colquitt

To the team.

If they get voted by the team, then that indicates they get a level of respect from the teammates that we, as fans, don't afford them.

I didnt say it mattered. I thought it was ironic that the two starters on offense that most people think are the weakest links were voted captains

I see nothing wrong with this, especially if they were elected by their teammates. I suspect that two of the best players on offense, Jamaal Charles and Dwayne Bowe, aren't really leadership material based on what Nick Wright and others have said about them.

Pioli has watched "The Replacements" too many times. A lot of heart doesn't equal the ability to get it done outside of Hollywood.

Doesn't mean much here, either.

Copper has enough awesome to go around for all the captains. We'll be fine.

Still could use depth at team captain, though. Might want to keep an eye out during next year's draft for some captains.

Terrance Copper is going to re-write the record books.

Most chances without ever making a difference.

I have nothing against Copper ftr. He's a Chief so I want him to do well. He's a good special teamer imo... always see him around the tackle on defensive ST's. As a difference making WR..... yeah...................... no.

Yes I'm a Royals fan most... so I understand losing. That should qualify me as a pretty decent Chiefs fan.

You win SNR. I admit my defeat. Copper made a difference as a WR once.

People still take me too literally. Yes I'm a baseball/Royals fan first... college hoops/KU second... I'm also a Chiefs fan though and I want them to win as bad as anyone. Being 3rd doesn't mean I don't care or I don't follow or I don't root hard for them. A Chiefs Super Bowl appearance would be heavenly.

But that said I don't blame anyone for taking past posts too seriously. I push it at times. It's my nature.

It's by the team. I think his own teammates might know a thing or two more about him than the average fan.

You're damn right you pushed it this time. Go live your little twisted perverted baseball-loving lifestyle. It's a free country. But you leave Terrance Copper out of this, hear me?

Now don't do it again.

He's under appreciated in my opinion. What I found interesting was that whenever we used a one WR set with Haley, Copper was the WR. That tells me he was the best blocker. In one game against the Colts, I think they threw it to him three times in a row out of the formation. It really messed with the defense. It was my favorite series that Haley called.
