Bowser

They said on the pre-game that KC has won 19 of the last 30 in this series. This makes me smile.

Gee go figure WGN isn't carrying the Sox when they're playing the Royals again.

Bowser
09-07-2012, 07:04 PM
Damn, what a play. I'm thinking that play would not be within Yuni's skill set to make.

stonedstooge

Frenchy ought to be sent up to the plate without a bat. It would give him his best chance to get on base

Cain reminds me of Ron Gant from the Braves.

Not bad. Mendoza has been flirting with trouble most every inning

Nightfyre
09-07-2012, 07:27 PM
Cain literally modeled his swing after Torii Hunter and you can tell. Watch them side-by-side.

Why do the Royals always play well in Sept?

Dr. Facebook Fever

Whoa - Interesting stat the announcers just quoted - Butler has highest OPS against lefties of any player since 1974.

Demonpenz

That ball was up and out over the plate.

Jesus Mendoza. WTF was that?

petegz28
09-07-2012, 07:39 PM
WTF? Every time I turn around the Sux tie the game

stonedstooge
09-07-2012, 07:39 PM
Mendoza looks to have lost some of the fluidity in his delivery. Thus leaves the ball up

How in the hell did he get that much velocity on that throw. Simply amazing

Nightfyre
09-07-2012, 07:47 PM
The lineup is pretty much in place except for an everyday second baseman. The bullpen is nails. Has anyone brought up our need for legit starting pitching yet? Hosmer has really turned around since the end of July. Moose needs to make some adjustments at the plate, but once he gets it together, he will be an all-star. Perez is ridiculous. Escobar is ridiculous, and he will only get better as he develops his approach at the plate and takes on more walks. Gordon - ridiculous. Cain is flashing. Myers will really round out this order.

Demonpenz
09-07-2012, 07:48 PM
I think he made that play look harder than it was. Most fields plant and throw that. He just more comfy with the jump through I guess.

Demonpenz
09-07-2012, 07:48 PM
Gordon is playing like the top pick he was. Can't believe it is in the outfield. For how shitty this organization is. Whoever put him in LF is a genious.

Welp, Frenchy just earned himself a start for everyday the rest of the year.

stonedstooge
09-07-2012, 07:50 PM
Frenchy's bat accidently hits one down the right field line. 4-3 Royals
Moose SF. 5-3

Nightfyre
09-07-2012, 07:59 PM
Or not. Fuck you Ned. Jesus christ. Chalk up another game put in jeopardy due to Yost's absolute incompetence.

Nightfyre
09-07-2012, 08:01 PM
Just fucking leave him out there Ned. He's just hanging pitches out there for the Sox.

Mr. Laz
09-07-2012, 08:02 PM
dammit mendoza

Nightfyre
09-07-2012, 08:03 PM
Why blame Mendoza at this point? EVERYONE including a casual fan such as myself could see he was hanging shit starting with the first batter. He should have been pulled earlier. Ned Yost cannot take a team deep into the playoffs. Good teams destroy pitchers who leave stuff hanging over the plate and Ned doesn't know when to pull guys. It's a deadly combination.
